Were Brazilian Protests an Anti-Marxist Counter-Revolution? By Julio Severo Socialist Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff faced, according to FoxNews, massive demonstrations protesting against corruption and calling for her impeachment last Sunday (March 15). Different from FoxNews, which is a huge conservative news outlet, Cliff Kincaid announced in his small outlet that the Brazilian demonstrations were an “anti-Marxist counter-revolution.” Kincaid said, “Such a development would be a major blow to the anti-American left in Latin America, which has been operating since 1990 under the rubric of the São Paulo Forum, a pro-communist movement started by Rousseff’s predecessor, Luiz Inácio Lula de...

Thanks to everyone who offered help. It has been a while since I did anything in HTML and even forgot about the "<>" vs. "[]" rule. That said. I will be offering a multi-part blog on the dangers of Islam to western society and America. “You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.” -Winston Churchill “When Islam strives for peace, its objective is not that superficial peace which requires that only that part of the earth where the followers of Islam are residing remain secure. The peace which Islam desires is that the religion...

Former Brazilian Presidential Candidate Levy Fidelix Condemned to Pay R$ 1 Million for Voicing “Homophobic” View By Julio Severo Former Brazilian presidential candidate Levy Fidelix was condemned by the São Paulo Supreme Court to pay a fine of R$ 1 million (over US$300,000) in a public civil action filed by the LGBT movement. The condemnation, delivered Friday (March 14), deals with declarations that Catholic Fidelix made in an interview in a TV show September 28, 2014, where he said: “The large intestine does not reproduce… How can I, a family man and a grandfather, be afraid of losing votes?...

Cables lying on the seafloor bring the internet to the world. They transmit 99 percent of international data, make transoceanic communication possible in an instant, and serve as a loose proxy for the international trade that connects advanced economies.Their importance and proliferation inspired Telegeography to make this vintage-inspired map of the cables that connect the internet. It depicts the 299 cables that are active, under construction, or will be funded by the end of this year. In addition to seeing the cables, you'll find information about "latency" at the bottom of the map (how long it takes for information...

War between Christian Nations and Muslim Nations: A Table Talk between an American Economist and Young Muslims in Indonesia By Julio Severo In the early 1970s, economist John Perkins was in Indonesia and had an interesting table talk with some young Muslims, reported in his book “Confessions of an Economic Hit Man [Berrett-Koehler Publishers: 2004], pp. 45-46.” Their talk: Muslim young woman: “Back in the fifties he [Arnold Toynbee] predicted that the real war in the next century would not be between Communists and capitalists, but between Christians and Muslims.” Perkins: “Arnold Toynbee said that?” I was stunned. Muslim...

Just a quick question. I'd like to get rid of Firefox and replace it. Party due to the ousting of Brendan Eich, partly because it keeps on wanting to install updates on my Mac, and then giving me the pinwheel of death. Google Chrome is out due to Net Neutrality. I've heard of Chromium or Pale Moon. Can anyone give decent suggestions please? Thanks!

“Washington is never going to fix itself,” said former Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), explaining why he intends to spend the next few years trying to “cheat history” by helping to organize the nation’s first-ever Convention of the States. The purpose of the convention will be to rein-in a federal “leviathan” that he says has overstepped its constitutional bounds. Under Article V of the U.S. Constitution, two-thirds of the state legislatures can call a convention to propose amendments to the Constitution that limit the scope and jurisdiction of the federal government. Alaska, Florida and Georgia passed Article V resolutions last year....

Murder, Intrigues, Confusions, CIA, Sodomy, Putin By Julio Severo When the mass media side with homosexual activists against Christians, the public disagree. When the mass media side with Obama against the American people, the public disagree. When the mass media side with an anti-Putin version in a case involving a Putin opponent “mysteriously” murdered, does the public agree? According to Paul Craig Roberts, who was a Reagan official, the “mysterious” murder of a Putin opponent was a destabilizing plot by CIA in the spirit of Obama hostilities against Russia. And according to Dr. Scott Lively, the most prominent authority...

Justin Peters: an American Cessationist Teaching “Apologetics” to Brazilian Pentecostals By Julio Severo A guest speaker of VINACC (a Brazilian conference of evangelicals), an American evangelical made headlines by blasting preachers of the Prosperity Gospel as “false prophets.” Justin Peters gave his apologetics lecture at an Assemblies of God church in Campina Grande, Brazil in February 16, 2015. VINACC held in this church its Second International Apologetics Meeting of Paraiba. In the event, Peters said, “Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen, Myles Munroe, Joyce Meyer and others are, all of them, false prophets. What they teach is not the...

It becomes clearer every day that there are not only two parties in Washington, D.C., but there are also two wings of the Republican Party. Conservatives who fight for limited government, fewer taxes, less regulation, more freedom, devolving federal power to the states, prudent immigration, and constitutional principles. Right now is about keeping power, gaining goodwill for self-advancement, or supposedly gaining leverage, ironically the leverage doesn’t actually get used. The other wing? Whether you call them RINOs (Republican In Name Only), liberal Republicans or the Establishment, for them, it’s all about retaining the power that comes from working their well-established...

US Names First Global Envoy for Homosexual Agenda By Julio Severo The United States is naming its first international envoy for homosexual rights. This is a historic event, because no nation, even the United Nations, has ever appointed a homosexual ambassador for global homosexual rights. Every single major news outlet in the U.S. is covering this historic event. In a press release, the U.S. State Department said Randy Berry, an openly homosexual diplomat, will be its special envoy to promote homosexual rights. State Department Secretary John Kerry said, “We’re working to overturn laws that criminalize consensual same-sex conduct in...

Government was "misrepresenting RCMP firearms statistics by overstating the number of firearms involved in violent crimes." By using an over-inclusive definition, Statistics Canada has exaggerated the number of violent crimes that involve guns. The result is that gun violence appears to be four times more frequent than it really is. In 2013 (the most recent year statistics are available) Statistics Canada reports that there were 5,027 “firearms-related” incidents out of 263,054 violent crimes (i.e., 2% of violent crimes). Clearly, gun violence isn’t prevalent. But even that small share exaggerates the frequency that a gun was actually used to commit a...

Turkey, U.S. sign deal to train, equip Islamists against Syria By Julio Severo The United States and Turkey signed, according to Reuters, an agreement on Thursday to train and equip Islamists to overthrow Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Turkey will provide an equal number of trainers to work alongside their American military counterparts, said an official at the U.S. military’s Central Command. Reuters said that the agreement is “to train and equip Syrian moderates to fight the Islamic State.” Yet, the same Reuters report said, “Turkey hopes the training will also bolster the weakened and divided Syrian opposition in their...

British Artists Boycott Israel As One Million British Girls Are Raped by Muslim Gangs By Julio Severo In an initiative called “Artists for Palestine,” some 700 British artists, including Roger Waters, Brian Eno, Mike Leigh, Ken Loach and Richard Ashcroft, made a pledge, February 14, to boycott Israel in reaction to what they termed “the Palestinian catastrophe,” according to the Jerusalem Post. Catastrophe? It is what is happening around Israel. Syria, Iraq and other Islamic nations around Israel are suffering: Muslims are killing Christians. In all the Muslim nations in the Middle East, the same pattern has repeated itself...

Black rioting and looting are not caused by any conflicts between US cops and black criminals, although these can be used as a pretext. Events in South Africa show that it is in fact a far more widespread, global phenomenon. And in this case blacks form the country's majority, targeting a powerless minority: so, who's racist and xenophobic now? For a week, at the end of January, a mob in South Africa lynched Ethiopians, Somalis and immigrants of other nationalities living in Nelson Mandela's country, and raided and looted their stores. At least 4 people were killed and over...

Landmark Event: Pope Will Address U.S. Congress By Julio Severo For the first time in the U.S. history, a pope will address the Congress, invited by Republican John Boehner and Democrat Nancy Pelosi. When he speaks to American lawmakers September 24, Pope Francis will address a Congress that is 31 percent Catholic, well above the 22 percent of all the American population, according to a survey released last month by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center. Boehner and Pelosi are both Catholic. “We’re humbled that the Holy Father has accepted our invitation and certainly look forward to receiving his message...

Gay “Marriage”: Obama Lied, Rick Warren Believed By Julio Severo Barack Obama “deceived” Pastor Rick Warren during the 2008 presidential election in an appearance at Warren’s Saddleback Church, where Obama said, “I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman. Now, for me as a Christian — for me — for me as a Christian, it is also a sacred union. God’s in the mix.” David Axelrod, who served as a top White House adviser after helping Obama get elected, said Obama lied when he publicly stated his opposition to same-sex “marriage” in 2008. In...
