The Tampa Dream Defenders aim to follow in the footsteps of civil rights activists including Malcolm, Garvey and King. They aim to fight for the legalization of undocumented immigrants. Their first goal is to pass legislation to give those illegal immigrants the opportunity to be issued a legal driver’s license. Several states - including Washington and New Mexico - have already passed legislation allowing immigrants to obtain legal licenses. Several others are currently debating the issue. The Tampa Dream Defenders aim to get Florida involved in the issue. The speakers from the Tampa Dream Defenders included Marisol Marquez, Maritza Jaramillo,...

Imagine this scenario: for whatever reason, you are bugging out, and have to travel through an urban or suburban area, or even along an interstate highway. It's hot. Dang hot. And you need water. There's no streams or lakes or ponds nearby. Nothing is open, and there's no power to operate a soda machine, even if there was one around. You've got a container in your bug-out bag, but you need a source of clean water. If there are buildings, there is water available everywhere, but without a special tool, you can't get it! What are you talking about, Backwoods?...

[This is a companion piece to an essay I posted earlier in the week in regard to the tenth anniversary of the Invasion of Iraq: #22 The Quiet Funeral of Bush Lied - Thousands Died! Bill Clinton's war with Serbia over Kosovo in 1998 starkly illustrates the double standards of contemporary American liberals. It is written in the first person to liberals, but also for conservatives.]     Liberals believe that former President Bush lied to the American people to get support for invading Iraq (this erroneous belief will be completely debunked in #22 The Quiet Funeral of “Bush Lied – Thousands Died!”)....

“What does ANAJURE exist for?” The Marco Feliciano case Is the defense of civil liberties above religious differences? Or is it not? By Julio Severo Rep. Marco Feliciano has been under heavy fire from gay supremacists in Brazil, because he was appointed in 5 March to head the Human Rights Congressional Committee (HRCC) in the Brazilian House of Representatives. Marco Feliciano They are furious not only at his stances on homosexuality and abortion, but also because HRCC had always been headed by the ruling socialist Workers’ Party and other socialists, who operated this congressional committee to approve the allocation...

We present an Aboriginal Australian genomic sequence obtained from a 100-year-old lock of hair donated by an Aboriginal man from southern Western Australia in the early 20th century. We detect no evidence of European admixture and estimate contamination levels to be below 0.5%. We show that Aboriginal Australians are descendants of an early human dispersal into eastern Asia, possibly 62,000 to 75,000 years ago. This dispersal is separate from the one that gave rise to modern Asians 25,000 to 38,000 years ago. We also find evidence of gene flow between populations of the two dispersal waves prior to the divergence...

The following is an excerpt from an essay from the Nuclear Counterarguments Essay Series. It is the definitive counterargument to those who feel the invasion of Iraq was based on deliberate deceptions manufactured by the Bush administration. Anyone who perseveres through to the end of its equivalent of 43 X 300-word pages will never again doubt the sincerity of President Bush's decision to invade Iraq. The essay series is written to liberals in the first person, but it is also for conservatives.Perhaps no other issue heats a liberal’s pot up to boil more than the Iraq War. “Bush lied –...

As House Speaker for 6/8 of the Reagan years, bombastic spendaholic Tip O'Neill was one of the fiercest opponents of the Gipper's entire agenda, fighting it tooth-and-nail to the end. He even called Reagan a 'cheerleader for selfishness' and went so far as to personally attack him as 'most ignorant man that has ever inhabited the White House'. Not one to be easily outwitted -but showing considerably more class and good humor- Reagan observed parallels between the blobular O'Neill and the then-trendy Pac-Man video game, as'a round thing that gobbles up money'. Yet despite the professional animosity, Reagan often said the two were 'friends after 6pm'... and...

The Saddest Chart in America (via Doug Ross) tells us that the line on the (St Louis Fed) chart above that resembles El Capitan is basically the amount of money being printed by America's first Cloward-Piven administration. You can see Bush-Clinton-Bush increased the money supply, but get a load of what Obama's got Bernanke up to- good grief, man. Although US debt held by the public is now roughly equivalent to when Obama first took office, MASSIVE Obama deficit spending is simply being financed by the US Treasury bonds being sold to Bernanke's own Fed(!). This means that we are just...

Particles do not retain "information", don't have "knowledge". It is not that the act of observation that alters reality. In fact the physical nature of the "observation" small though it may be is sufficient to alter the metrics of sub atomic particles.

Gay militant Jean Wyllys at Brazilian Presbyterian University Has Mackenzie Presbyterian University given in to politically correct trends? By Julio Severo In its debate entitled “Sexual Diversity and Religious Freedom: A Possible Marriage?” on February 28, 2013, Mackenzie Presbyterian University in Brazil, in partnership with its chancellery, invited congressman Jean Wyllys, a gay supremacist, to address sexual diversity. In its presentation featuring Wyllys, the university said of him: “A militant for civil freedoms, he worked in the base ecclesial communities in the Catholic Church. Partner in LGBT, black and women movements. He is involved in activism to fight homophobia,...

Terror TV, Al Jazeera, is wasting no time exploiting its buy of "Current TV" to advance its malevolent jihadist propaganda. Al Jazeera-Current is going after the vocal among us who are exposing their terror ties and lies to advance sharia and jihad. They did a segment on my defense of freedom as "islamophobia." Of course Hamas-CAIR posted the video here. Al Jazeera is the leading terrorist propaganda organization in the world. Jihad murder mastermind Anwar al-Awlaki has praised Al Jazeera, and several years ago one of its most prominent reporters was arrested on terror charges. Al Jazeera also has for...

The Rise in Part Time Employment since the Great Recession- By: Larry Walker, Jr. -There are five categories among all nonagricultural workers who are officially counted as employed: government workers, private household and private industry workers, the self-employed and unpaid family workers. Among them there are three additional status classifications: those employed part time for economic reasons, part time for noneconomic reasons, and those employed full-time. An analysis of recent trends reveals that the number of part time workers is on the increase, while the number of full-time workers is on the decline. Before we begin, the aforementioned status classifications...

Total Survivalist Libertarian Rantfest "You cannot save the planet. You may be able to save yourself and your family." -Clint Smith Wednesday, January 23, 2013 Resistance S4: The Logistics of Successful Re-Supply Cache Planning by John Mosby John Mosby who writes the excellent blog Mountain Guerilla was nice enough to let me cross post this article. John reminded me that guns which are in a cache cannot be used to shoot somebody in the face. this is of course a worthwhile point. If you have a basic 4 (rifle, pistol, shotgun, .22) I would not be inclined to cache anything....

Universal Background Checks. At this point in time it’s clear that the Statists won’t get their ban on arbitrarily defined “Assault weapons” and “High capacity mags”, so now they’re going after even bigger fish: they want gun registration. Universal Background Checks (in reality Universal Gun Registration & Universal Gun CONFISCATION) are wrong on many levels, but these are the main points: A) The Feral government would be in control of one of it’s own constraints (The RKBA) – essentially rendering it meaningless. B) The government would have control of your personal property – something you know they will expand and...

In February 1933 the Boeing Aircraft Company -today enduring an extremely difficult period- flew a groundbreaking new plane for the very first time- the Boeing 247. This design could be called the first true airliner, as it featured major innovations -plus the safety and power of twin engines- that made commercial long-range air travel feasible: all-metal construction (no wood frame), retractable landing-gear, variable-pitch propellers, pneumatic de-icing system- even autopilot. With a top speed of 200mph/cruising at 189, the Boeing 247 was able to run a NYC to Los Angeles route in an impressive 20 hours (including 3 fuel stops),...

A comprehensive new Harvard University report on Americans under 30, the so-called Millennials, shows that the economy is having a crushing impact, with just 62 percent working, and of those, half are toiling at part-time jobs. The report, released by Harvard's Institute of Politics, paints a depressing economic portrait of young Americans, many of whom are stuck with huge college tuition bills and little chance of finding a high-paying job. But over half, or 59 percent of those aged 18-29, have gone to college and The report reveals that time in college is a better sign of social status than...
