This morning while driving to work, Rick Robert's was going off on Bill Bennet for a statement he made either during his show or an interview. The clip he played was of Bennet saying (as best as I can remember): "If you really wanted to lower the crime rate - even though that would be horrendous and unthinkable, would be to abort all of the African Amercian babies." Robert's was saying how stupid this was and that Bennet had given all of the liberals/race baiters/etc. something to be critical of. However, Robert's did not play enough of the tape to...

Hey folks, Earlier this week, I sent out the link to my SFGate column on the San Francisco handgun ban proposal. Well, it's doing quite well so far and has generated a lot of feedback. In fact, I've added several new people to this list--welcome! The article has been linked at the NRA site and some other pro-gun and conservative radio (KSFO) sites and blogs. And on Tuesday, I did an interview with Spencer Hughes of the Sonoma station KSRO, which went really well. Unfortunately, that station doesn't have online streaming audio, so I didn't send out the link. But...

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Republicans have filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission accusing two Los Angeles radio personalities of "criminal behavior" for attacking a local congressman on-air and endorsing his Democratic opponent. The National Republican Congressional Committee contends that ongoing criticism of Rep. David Dreier, R-San Dimas, by KFI-AM talk show hosts John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou represents an illegal in-kind donation of more than $25,000 to Dreier's challenger. "This behavior is illegal and must be appropriately punished," the committee says, adding that violating the law carries a penalty of fines and jail time. The hosts of the...

If you are a Hugh Hewitt listener, you know that they have a lot of fun playing songs that suit the topic Hugh is discussing. When the topic of Clintoon comes up, for example, Hugh plays "How Can I Miss You When You Won't Go Away?" and "Man From Harlem." Or when he was talking about boycotting vacationing in Vermont, they played "Weekend in New England." You get the picture. So take a moment to think of current hot topics in U.S. news and politicians with big mouths, and make your suggestions for fitting music. It could be funny, it...
