If I hadn't seen it for myself I wouldn't have believed it. Living on the west side of the Cascade mountains not far from Seattle I am accustomed to seeing Kerry/Edwards signs practically everywhere. My husband and I went to the Puyallup Fair which is one of the largest in the country and draws thousands. Under the grandstand there were the Democrat and Republicans booths handing out yard signs, stickers etc. After spending all day and night at the fair I can tell you that 8 out of 10 fair goers who were making a political statement were either wearing or...

Michelle has a place of honor in our history, The Story of a FReeper Chapter. One of our great hopes was that Michelle would return to the Seattle area for a visit, which she is doing now in conjunction with a book tour. A racetrack for NASCAR and other motorsports events in the Puget Sound region could generate $87.3 million to $121.8 million in new revenue annually — with over three-fourths of that money coming from out-of-state wallets, according to a study released yesterday by a group backing the idea. Between 45 and 60 percent of the 77,000-seat track's visitors would travel from outside Washington, spending up to $709 apiece during race-event weekends, the study projects. "Welcome Cheney Rally" After-Action Report I arrived shortly after 4:00 PM - a good size crowd had already gathered by the time I arrived. I parked, and my children and I joined the crowd. We handed out small american flags to people in the crowd who were without. I met up with eala who had already arrived, camera in hand. I also met up with sleavelessinseattle who was holding a large american flag. During the course of the rally, our numbers steadily grew as "on-scene" reports to KVI 570 AM aired live.
