Hello again. More complaints about my health! Since July 14 I've been having unrelenting agonizing issues. Specifically since Aug 1 I've continuously had severe burning, leaden feeling in my arms and shoulders. I'm starting to feel more in my legs too. It seems to tie in with a feeling of sickness, too. I get more and more numbness/tingling in my hands and sometimes feet. Yes, I've been to lots of doctors/ER. I have lots of "history" as well, which may or may not tie into this Summer 2020 suffering.

Jim's Wife, Sheila, is in need of all our prayers. She has not been doing very well and has gotten very weak. She eats very little. Jim has nurses coming in 3 times a week and senior helpers coming in every morning. Senior helpers help with cooking, cleaning and anything else where help is needed. In adition to chcking her vitals, they make sure she takes her medication and they give her bed baths. John and Chris are working around the clock to make sure she is turned every two hours. My daughter and son-in-law have been camping in the Wisconsin northwoods with some of his family. This morning one of the family built a campfire; 2-year-old Kato escaped from his grandmother's arms, ran to the fire, and got burned on his hand and arm to the point that the local hospital put him on an IV and is sending him to a burn center in Milwaukee. Please pray for the child and his family.

On Monday July 27, 2020, Msgr. Charles Pope self-reported that he has tested positive for COVID-19 virus. He is recuperating and getting better each day. For the next two weeks, he and the other priests and seminarian that live in the rectory will be self-isolating as a precaution. We will be sure to keep you updated.

Mrs. Chandler has been in the hospital for the past week with tachycardia. Tomorrow she will undergo ablation surgery. It's considered a safe procedure, but I wouldn't mind if you were all pulling for her. Thanks! Sincerely, Jeff

I know I'm not around often, but I am here to humbly ask you to pray for my Daughter, who is currently in ICU with pneumonia and MRSA. Last night the doctors said she was doing better, today they called for family, even though they won't let anyone into the unit over COVID concerns. Please pray for her recovery and healing.

The surgery to put in the electrodes was successful. It's kind of weird because when they put them you don't feel a thing until they turn on the voltage which would cause my eyes to cross and my mouth to pull to the side and all I could say was "Gaa!" It took quite a while to get them in just the right but I am doing fine and when they got to the right place, my tremors went away completely. I didn't sleep well last night so the first thing I did today was take a well-deserved nap.

Three years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and through a year long process, I have been approved for Deep Brain Stimulation. I have 3 procedures to go through. The firs was on May 5 and I did fine. The second part is tomorrow, May 20, where they use the jig drill to holes in my skull to place the electrodes. Her digestive system has been bothering her for awhile, and the bananas/rice/toast light stress diet hasn't helped it calm down and get back to normal. She viaited her doc earlier this week and is awaiting the results and should know by the end of the week what she's actually dealing with. Its weakened her and she's really tired of it. Any prayers are appreciated. Also for those who are praying for my dad, his recovery is on the slow up curve. He had a bout of inflammation that required steroids to bring down, he's back home and resting and eating...

As an update, for those of you praying for my mother - we had another trip to Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia this Thursday. My mother’s tumor is inoperable, per MRI. Too dangerous to remove and not something that would come out cleanly anyway. It’s close to the base of the skull, the carotid artery, for example. This tumor does not respond to traditional chemotherapy, but they are sending out the biopsy for genetic testing to see if there is some kind of weakness that can be exploited with a special drug. There is only a 30% change this tumor...

Dear Freepers, I am asking for prayer for my Dad. He is in the hospital with what appears to be a subdural hematoma . It is similiar to a stroke and there is swelling associated with it pushing on the brain. This is his second one of these within the last 5 years and they had to do brain surgery last time. He also had a heart surgery a few years ago for a valve replacement and a string of operations in the last few years. I think they will be doing surgery on him tomorrow but I am not...

Dear Freepers, I am asking for prayers for my dear Dad William who is dying of colon cancer. He lost his wife (and our Mom) Toni in April 2019 after 60 years of marriage. He served as an MP in Germany during the Korean War era. My brothers and I are going to miss him terribly. Thank you.
