A left-wing Sacramento city councilwoman who is running for Congress has repeatedly turned her back on the American flag and refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance. It remains to be seen how councilwoman Mai Vang’s obstinance will play with voters as she is seeking to unseat longtime Democratic Rep. Doris Matsui in the June primary election. Vang is reportedly polling neck-and-neck with the incumbent and slightly ahead of Republican Zachariah Wooden, the California Post reported. However, the deviance may not be the best strategy in the recently redrawn 7th congressional district, which now includes more conservative areas like Lodi,...

Millions of Americans will spend Memorial Day weekend honoring those who died while serving in the US military — but California congressional candidate Mai Vang likely will not be one of them. The lefty Sacramento city councilmember has boasted about refusing to say the Pledge of Allegiance at public meetings and ceremonies — and routinely turned her back on the flag. Vang, who is attempting to unseat longtime Democratic Rep. Doris Matsui in the June primary election, is currently polling neck-and-neck with the incumbent and slightly ahead of Republican Zachariah Wooden. But the potential of an anti-American congressmember isn’t sitting...

A jury in Placerville on Friday convicted a man of second-degree murder in the shooting death of El Dorado County Sheriff’s Deputy Brian Ishmael, who was killed in October 2019 responding to a bogus call about the theft of marijuana plants from an illegal grow site near Somerset. Juan Carlos Vasquez-Orozco, 22, who authorities say had been in the United States from Mexico illegally, also was convicted of assault with a firearm on three other deputies.

I found this on a FB group called Life After California. Can anyone confirm that this is really going on in California? Here's the text from the picture: Just thought you all might enjoy this picture. This is a restaurant where I live. They have refused to submit since the beginning. We do all we can to support them. *Bottom right hand corner says "we refuse to submit to tyranny." Since so many are asking, it's Placerville, CA. We also have a fabulous place called Danette's pub. They have a sign on their door warning government officials to keep out!...
