Allison Gaiser, 44, allegedly went to the Pittsburgh International Airport with her French bulldog on Aug. 4. She was reportedly departing on a flight for a vacation in Mexico. However, the airline denied the dog to travel on the plane because it didn't meet the criteria for an emotional support animal and did not have a proper kennel as required. Pittsburgh police responded to active shooting situation in which "hundreds of rounds" were reportedly fired near Garfield on Wednesday. Police have yet to offer details on how many people may have been injured in the incident. The situation reportedly escalated into gunfire when police arrived to serve an eviction notice, according to KDKA-TV.

On average, African Americans experienced homicide victimization at a rate 19 times greater than the rate for non-blacks. 51 percent of offenders were under the age of 25, 80 percent were African American, and 93 percent were male. Homicides were most often perpetrated between individuals of the same race; 74 percent were perpetrated by a black offender against a black victim and 11 percent between a white offender and white victim. Six percent of cases were between a black offender and white victim; 7 percent between a white offender and black victim.

A popular Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania bar is temporarily closing its doors after violence rocked the busy neighborhood over the weekend, making owner Brian Vetere say enough is enough. Carson City Saloon locked its doors and turned off its lights this week, citing safety concerns for its customers and employees as the crime-riddled area saw multiple shootings. Two protesters at Daily Wire host Michael Knowles’ debate on transgenderism at the University of Pittsburgh were indicted by a federal grand jury on Friday. MILWAUKEE -- A bus driver was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence while transporting the Pittsburgh Pirates from Chicago to Milwaukee for their weekend series with the Brewers. Illinois State Police said the driver was traveling away from officers seeking to escort the bus on its trip to Milwaukee late Thursday night. Troopers said they observed more erratic driving and eventually stopped the bus on the right shoulder of Interstate 94 in Chicago. More than four years after 11 people were gunned down in a Pittsburgh synagogue, a conviction has been delivered in the deadliest anti-semitic attack in U.S. history.
