Today I read several intriguing stories Palin had floated the idea that it's not too late for someone to enter the GOP race. Read one on Drudge, and saw a couple right here. Suddenly I felt that old optimism return. And would like to mention something as an open suggestion, I did not hear in the speculation and obligatory "she's not running" comments:

An open letter to Governor Sarah Palin: Dear Mrs. Palin, I'm writing this open letter to make the case for you to seriously consider a run for the Presidency in 2012. I believe that our nation is at a critical juncture, and the need for a strong, noble leader is desperate. Times like these are when great leaders often emerge. Winston Churchill in 1940, Ronald Reagan in 1980. Now, it's time for the great leader of the next decade, and I think you are the one we're looking to. We need the GOP to win the presidency next year, but...

Pissant has just agreed to come back to Free Republic and spearhead what has been characterized as a massive fundraising effort, just in time for Sarah's planned announcement of her run for the Presidency.

Governor Palin must be the GOP nominee because of energy. Energy will arguably be the top issue facing America in 2012. The rise in fuel prices also brings about a rise in commodity and food prices, as those products are trucked, shipped, and flown to their destinations. I work in transportation logistics, and I can tell you first hand that fuel prices are so high, drivers for most of the carriers my account is contracted to are refusing to haul freight unless they get additional money for fuel. There are over 6,000 products made from petroleum. Here is a partial...

If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in LOVE. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died. Rom 14:15 There are lots of reasons for Gov Palin to be President besides her being hated by the Establishment, although that is a pretty good one. The NE Corridor has determined she just doesn’t have what it takes like McCain and Barak did. The main criteria we need to choose our next Presidential candidate will be if they live outside the District of Corruption. This is the problem and the...

Information in this post is gleened from two sources; http://www.facebook.com/notes/sarah-palin/the-cost-of-legal-warfare-a-few-words-about-todays-defense-fund-agreement/401885808434 http://www.adn.com/2010/06/24/1339431/settlement-of-ethics-complaint.html Yesterday, Sarah Palin's legal defense fund was judged to be in violation of State ethics laws. I have followed this controversy and to be fair, I found the objections to it to be a little thin, but most of us don't live in Alaska and are not famliar with the subtle tones of their ethics laws and issues. I will say this, IMO most if not al of the problems with it could have been avoided early on but Palin in concert with her advisors made several bad decisions...

For many of us, the arrival of Easter means the arrival of a new season of joy – of Easter parades, Easter egg hunts, chocolate bunnies, and sweet Peeps topping off a family meal. Some may wonder why we merrily celebrate at a time when we’re remembering Christ’s crucifixion on the cross. And there is something to that. Good Friday is, after all, about God who became Man, dying on the cross for our sins. And yet we celebrate Easter Sunday, and we are right to do so. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten...

Dear Mrs. Bachmann You once said to your many supporters about the then propose Health Care bill that "This cannot pass. What we have to do today is make a covenant, to slit our wrists, be blood brothers on this thing. This will not pass. We will do whatever it takes to make sure this doesn't pass."....You stood on principles back then but where is your principles now when you are inviting someone who certainly doesn't stand for the kind of principles you profess in to campaign for you? I'm talking about Sarah Louise Palin, that woman who sold her...

Sarah Palin invokes him. Mitt Romney glorifies him. The "tea party" movement hopes to recapture him. And the Republican Party still can't get over him. Six years after his death, and almost a century since his birth, conservatives are more transfixed than ever by Ronald Reagan, so much so that I fully expect a Gipper anxiety disorder to appear in the next edition of the psychiatrists' diagnostic manual. "What would Reagan Do?" is a leading motto for the right. You can get the slogan -- or its WWRD acronym -- on a bumper sticker, a T-shirt, a coffee mug, a...

Who am I? I am a man, who has worked hard all my life, was raised in the outdoors, learned to hunt and fish at an early age and am currently a lifetime member of the NRA. I have been a smallbusinessperson and an entrepreneur and understand what it takes to run a business and succeed. My hero was Ronald Reagan and I consider myself to be cut from the same cloth as our 40th President of the United States. Some people call me a Reagan conservative. I believe in fiscal responsibility, balancing budgets, low taxes and not incurring massive...
