Today I read several intriguing stories Palin had floated the idea that it's not too late for someone to enter the GOP race.
Read one on Drudge, and saw a couple right here.
Suddenly I felt that old optimism return. And would like to mention something as an open suggestion, I did not hear in the speculation and obligatory "she's not running" comments:
I disagree.
In the spirit of the Grizzly theme. I am reminded of the tongue in cheek story of the two hunters who are being chased by the bear, and one observes he doesn't need to be faster than the bear, just faster than his buddy...
I would like to observe please, it would not be too late for Palin, even if she were to enter the race after she's likely to win a landslide.
She would merely have to win enough delegates to deprive any of the current candidates, a first round majority.
Result: the widely discussed brokered convention.
It's clear, the GOP currently has no overwhelming champion. Hasn't, since Governor Palin announced she had decided not to run.
I say, she should run. With the unconventional but specific tactic, of running to prevent anyone from winning the first round vote.
Cause a brokered convention on purpose.
That's certainly unconventional in my book. :D
RUN GOVERNOR PALIN.
For America.
(and your supporters, but for America first)
At least discuss the possibility with the future First Snow Machine dude.
Thanks for listening.
Not This Sh*t Again.
Why not? The GOP is already a bad joke. Might as well go whole hog.
The Ultimate Free Republic Headline:
“Palin may run again but never really ran in the first place, pitbulls, Catholics and Mormons hardest hit.”
An intriguing gambit. Especially if things start looking grim, with Romney appearing to run away with the nomination.
Obligatory “Not This Sh*t Again.” response.
That was quick. :D
I really think the headlines were overly dramatic and a tad misleading - after reading what she actually said in context.
And if I’m not mistaken, isn’t she a free trader - and aren’t you most decidedly NOT that?
You stay classy.
future First Snow Machine dude??
what the heck is that?
I agree. The rest of the field just does not inspire confidence or fighting spirit. All I see is they want to win.
If Sarah got in, things would start cooking again, fast.
She could definitely take out Obama.
None of the candidates running, share my position on trade.
Doesn’t mean I won’t vote for someone.
Or give up my beliefs.
Just the way things are right now. One does not have to lock-step with a candidate, to support them.
I just watched her interview with Eric Bolling. Eric gave her an opportunity to say ‘thanks but no thanks’ when he asked the big question about running and she wouldn’t do it. She definitely left the door wide-open
She was on fire too against Obama
We don't stand a chance unless they're panicking. And the only person who could make them panick is Sarah Palin. Herman Cain did for a bit, but they knuckled him under. They can't knuckle Sarah Palin under.
I was very disappointed that she opted to not run.
As long as the liberal slackers are amused, we are so screwed.
RUN, SARAH, RUN. To hell with the rest of the useless lot.
You think that’s a good idea?
Palin pi$$ed me off with her games...but I’d vote for her before I’d vote for any of the current candidates.
I tell you.
There’s no humor, among the anti-Palin minions.
Just a dark discouraging misty gray.
(remembering that cartoon donkey, always in a funk)
