VIDEOAlthough the mainstream media hypes the importance of diversity they avoid the diversity that really counts namely political diversity. So how do they avoid looking like the hypocrites they are on this topic? Well, their shtick is now to hire reliably anti-Trump "Republicans" on an otherwise solidly anti-Trump panel and pretend this somehow represents diversity. This was reflected in the most recent "Meet The Press" on NBC where the panel of anti-Trump types were introduced along with "Republican" Carlos Curbelo who has a history as being vehemently anti-Trump. I guarantee that if Curbelo ever appeared on an NBC (or MSNBC)...

Vaccinated people are now more likely to be hospitalized or die from Covid, even after adjusting for fact they're older than the unvaccinated, according to official government estimates from the Canadian province of Manitoba. In May, the most recent month for which figures are available, only 9 percent of Covid deaths and 14 percent of hospital admissions in Manitoba occurred among unvaccinated people, even though they are 17 percent of the population.Manitoba, which has about 1.4 million residents, also provides figures that are adjusted for the fact that vaccinated and boosted people tend to be older. Those show that in...

Steve Schmidt Blames Mark Levin For 'The Demise Of The Conservative Movement'

"The fact of the matter is, the president went out and said, I think he said what he believed to be the fact and what was substantially was the fact, because 90, whatever, 95, 96, 97 percent of Americans are in the position where they can keep the insurance they have and they're going to see no changes," Axelrod explained to MSNBC's Chris Hayes on Monday night. Axelrod dismissed people currently losing their health plans as a "small group" of people who bought "substandard policies" in the individual market.

On Thursday, Democrat tool Chad Henderson claimed to have enrolled in ObamaCare while most others' attempts failed. News organizations eagerly lapped up his story. Apparently, though, the story was "too good to check," because when someone finally did, it fell apart, discrediting Big Media, the Democrats, and ObamaCare. Conservative and libertarian websites now are reporting the corrected story, and even some Big Media outlets reluctantly are reporting it. But almost as devastating to the left is Mr. Henderson's confession that he is being paid to post pro-Democrat propaganda on the internet: Secondly, I work for an organization that pays me...

"Some look at the challenges in Iraq and conclude that the war is lost and not worth another dime or another day," President Bush said recently. Another time he said, "Some say that if you're Muslim you can't be free." "There are some really decent people," the president said earlier this year, "who believe that the federal government ought to be the decider of health care ... for all people." Of course, hardly anyone in mainstream political debate has made such assertions. When the president starts a sentence with "some say" or offers up what "some in Washington" believe, as...

I am looking for work at home opportunities. I've tried paid surveys, but I find that I can make very little money doing that. However, I have heard that one can be paid to post positive comments about President Bush on certain Internet boards. Does anyone have any information on how I can sign up for that?

New worm targets Linux systems By Joris Evers Staff Writer, CNET News.com Published: November 7, 2005, 5:12 PM PST A new worm that propagates by exploiting security vulnerabilities in Web server software is attacking Linux systems, warned antivirus companies on Monday. The worm spreads by exploiting Web servers that host susceptible scripts at specific locations, according to antivirus software maker McAfee, which has named the worm "Lupper." Lupper blindly attacks Web servers, installing and executing a copy of the worm when a vulnerable server is found, McAfee said in its description of the worm. A backdoor is installed on infected...

Former Clinton Chief of Staff John Podesta recently wrote a scathing article about former FBI Director Louis J. Freeh. Freeh made some harsh comments about his life at the FBI during the Clinton scandal years, and Podesta simply could not resist the knee-jerk urge to defend his ex-boss. Those who know me well also know that I have little love for the former FBI Director. His tenure at the helm of the bureau was a disaster. Freeh can best be described as a "Luddite" in terms of his understanding of modern technology. I am almost certain that his new book...

The broader media usually take little interest in public policy debates about technology, but they’re missing a big story in Massachusetts. The technology trades, blogs and industry are buzzing about a monumental policy shift in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Officials in the state have proposed a new policy that mandates that every state technology system use only applications designed around OpenDocument file formats. Such a policy might seem like something that should concern only a small group of technology professionals, but in fact the implications are staggering and far-reaching. The policy promises to burden taxpayers with new costs and to...

Firefox's 'retreat' ensures Microsoft excels Open source web browser Firefox has lost the momentum it has steadily gained since it was unleashed last year, according to Web analysts at Net Applications. The online portal’s unique Hit List service reveals a slump in the Mozilla browser’s market share, falling from 8.7% to 8.1 % in July. Coinciding with its demise, was the advance of Microsoft's IE that has gained some of the ground surrendered in June, climbing back from 86.6 % to 87.2% last month. The revival for the dominant browser comes on the back of average monthly losses of between...

"Computer Weekly is reporting that Firefox has had more flaws found in it this year than Internet Explorer." The report in the UK-based IT trade publication states: "There have now been more flaws in the Firefox browser this year than in Microsoft's Internet Explorer." It does not give a source for this statistic but it may be relying on data from a security advisory service such as Secunia. The 2005 Secunia vulnerability report for Firefox 1.x states that there have been seventeen security flaws in Firefox this year, while the 2005 Secunia vulnerability report for Internet Explorer 6.xincludes only nine...

Comment East Fork off key By : Friday 15 July 2005, 10:01< INTEL IS ABOUT TO CUT Linux out of the legitimate content market, and hand the keys to the future of digital media to Microsoft at your expense. Don't like it? Tough, you are screwed. The vehicle to do this is called East Fork, the upcoming and regrettable Intel digital media 'platform'. The funny part is that the scheme is already a failure, but it will hurt you as it thrashes before it dies. Be afraid, be very afraid. First, lets explore what East Fork (EF) is. It is...

Microsoft, showing its endurance in the mobile phone business, is expected to announce on Monday a partnership with the largest contract electronics manufacturer, Flextronics of Singapore, to make low-cost smart phones that run on Microsoft's mobile operating system. . The device, in a so-called candy-bar design, will have the interactive features of a smart phone at the price of many standard mobile phones today, Microsoft executives said in advance of the opening on Monday of the 3GSM World Congress, the mobile phone industry's annual trade show in Cannes. . Microsoft began making software to power mobile phones five years ago...

Microsoft Corp.'s 2001 antitrust settlement with the Bush administration hasn't reduced the dominance of the company's Windows personal computer operating system, a Justice Department lawyer said yesterday. There has been "no demonstrable change in the operating system marketplace," government lawyer Renata Hesse said in Washington in response to a question from the federal judge overseeing the accord. "Microsoft continues to have a large share in that market." The 2001 agreement resolved a suit that at one point threatened the world's largest software maker with a breakup ................................................... Kollar-Kotelly, who approved the settlement in 2002, said she wasn't concerned about Microsoft's...

All non-Microsoft browers include a flaw that allows URL spoofing using Unicode characters, which can be exploited by phishing scams seeking to steal login information for online banking accounts. The spoofing flaw, which is demonstrated on the web site of the Shmoo Group, works in the Firefox, Mozilla and Opera browsers, as well as the Safari browser for Macs. The spoof exploits flaws in how the browsers interpret Unicode characters. A link using Unicode characters to replace the letter "a" in "Paypal" will display as www.paypal.com in the browser, but send users to www.xn--pypal-4ve.com - which then displays "www.paypal.com" in...

A federal magistrate has handed a partial victory to Utah's SCO Group, ordering computer giant IBM to turn over more of its Linux operating system-related program codes. U.S. Magistrate Brooke Wells' ruling, released just minutes after Salt Lake City's federal courthouse closed Wednesday, came in the Lindon software company's contractual suit stemming from Big Blue's alleged distribution of Linux applications purportedly tainted with SCO's proprietary Unix code. In a lawsuit tentatively set for trial next fall, SCO is seeking damages ranging from $5 billion to $50 billion from IBM. The Utah company also is in Linux-related litigation with Novell, Linux...
