The IDF has received orders to dismantle the new communities of Ramat Migron and Oz Tzion by the beginning of next week – in preparation for the visit of U.S. President Barack H. Obama. The orders were displayed in an IDF document obtained by Arutz Sheva. Soldiers were ordered to remove the new communities, termed “outposts” in the media, and to set up extensive patrols to ensure that they are not rebuilt, at least during the time Obama will be in Israel. The communities are in the area of Ramallah, which Obama will be visiting on his visit to Israel....

Dozens of youths who stayed at the Oz Tzion outpost near Beit El over the Sabbath, left the community after the Saturday evening havdala prayer. The youths spent the Sabbath at the outpost along with Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, the Rabbi of Tzfat, and Rabbi Dov Lior of Kiryat Arba. The two rabbis had driven to nearby Ofra Friday, to negotiate an agreement according to which security forces would stop trying to evict the youths, and the youths would leave voluntarily at the Sabbath's end. Inspectors of the Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria, accompanied by Yassam special forces of the Samaria-Judea police and other Israeli soldiers, destoyed five buildings, Monday evening, in the Binyamin-region Jewish outpost community of Oz Tzion. Nine youth who lived in the buildings were detained...

Police and military forces arrived in force at the nascent community of Oz Zion with stop work orders and moved to dismantle structures being erected there. Two teenage girls had to be treated for tear gas inhalation sustained during clashes that erupted between security forces and young people working to establish the new community. At presently, security forces remain in Or Zion, but no structures in the community have been destroyed. The fledgling community is located next to Givat Assaf in Beit El, one of the Jewish neighborhoods currently under threat of demolition. Veteran activists Daniella Weiss and Rabbi Moshe Levinger assisted in the creation of the new outpost.
