On O'Rielly Factor 8/10/09 a story was put forward about a lady that had cervical cancer and was denied the cancer drugs by the state (they have universal healthcare) and she was told tehy would pay for the drugs that would terminate her life. if anyone has the links for reference on this story (other than O'Rielly), it would be a great story to plaster all over the net and local news organizations. The numbers from last week were amazing for Fox News, and for The O'Reilly Factor in particular. In the 8 pm edt time slot, O'Reilly beat CNN by 380%, MSNBC by 247%, and Headline News by 299%. Yesterday, I wrote a piece detailing a story written by Brian Stelter of the New York Times that purported to claim that higher ups at GE and News Corp, including CEO's Jeffrey Immelt and Rupert Murdoch, that negotiated with each other and then put pressure on their two main cable news commentators, Bill O'Reilly and Keith Olbermann, to reduce the criticism of the other's networks and each other. The piece was published this past weekend.

Here is video of Bill O'Reilly tonight talking with Bernie Goldberg about the mainstream media's attacks on anti-ObamaCare protesters who have been showing up at Health Care Town Hall Meetings. They discussed the fact that the media has presented them as being some kind of organized mob, but in the past they have not done the same regarding liberal protesters when they were going after President George W. This piece ran in the New York Times last Friday. It purported to make the supposition that a feud between GE and Fox that mostly pitted cable news anchors Bill O'Reilly and Keith Olbermann in an often included serious and harsh charges leveled by the two at each and at each other's employers. The piece made it seem as though higher ups talked to both Olbermann and O'Reilly and had them tamp it down on the other. The piece even claimed that stories by one of the other had gone down since mid June.

Two of Fox News' biggest mouthpieces have made a point of letting everyone know that they aren't going to be like Lou Dobbs and stand on principle. EC makes no bones about it. Bill O'Reilly is a spineless blowhard with no allegiance to, or even interest in, the truth... much less the constitution.
