SALEM-A Portland-area Democrat is fast-tracking legislation that would shield the identity of the officer who killed Oregon standoff spokesman Robert "LaVoy" Finicum. A proposal by Rep. Jeff Barker, D-Aloha, would let courts bar the disclosure of the name of an officer who uses deadly force for 90 days. To do so, a judge would have to agree there's an imminent and specific threat to the officer's life.
