Ohio officials have discovered 588 uncounted votes in this week’s special election for the 12th Congressional District, further tightening the already too-close-to-call race. “The votes from a portion of one voting location had not been processed into the tabulation system,” the Franklin County Board of Elections said in a press release Wednesday. The uncounted votes were from a Columbus suburb. Prior to the discovery, Republican Troy Balderson led Democrat Danny O’Connor by more than 1,700 votes. With the 588 votes included, the margin narrows to 1,564, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. President Donald Trump prematurely declared victory for Balderson on...

Election officials in Ohio found 588 uncounted votes Wednesday in a suburb of Columbus, county officials said. After counting the ballots, Republican Troy Balderson received 198 votes; Democrat Danny O’Connor got 388 votes; and Joe Manchik, 2 votes. Thus, O’Connor gained 190 on Balderson, who currently leads by 1,564 votes in the close race. “The votes from a portion of one voting location had not been processed into the tabulation system,” officials explained. “Election night results are tabulated through the use of a device called a master PEB that is returned to the Board along with flash drives from each...

Wednesday on MSNBC’s “MTP Daily,” Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) said the close congressional special election result in Ohio’s 12th district was a message to the Republican Party from voters. When asked about the results last night, Kasich said. “There’s no question that people sent a message to the party, to Republicans, knock it off, the chaos, the divisions, I mean kids being separated from their parents at the border, these crazy tariffs. Hey, we’re going to take your health care. We’re going to kill Obamacare, which means you’re not going to have any health care.

Actress and activist Alyssa Milano suggested that third-party votes in the Ohio special congressional election Tuesday evening could be the result of “Russian meddling.” In a close race, GOP candidate Troy Balderson led Democrat Danny O’Connor in a special election for Ohio’s 12th Congressional District on Tuesday evening. Balderson obtained 1,754 more votes than O’Connor. There are still 3,435 provisional ballots must still be counted, according to the New York Times. There are also more than 5,000 absentee ballots that were mailed to voters but not returned as of election day. Green Party candidate Joe Manchik secured approximately 1,127 votes,...

The Democratic party’s projected “blue wave” in the November midterm elections seems like a pipe dream now, after last night’s special election in Ohio’s 12th Congressional District. Sorry, but Ohio stays red: https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1025920073159110657 It’s worth mentioning that it was a very, but very close race in Ohio, yet Trump-backed Troy Balderson managed to emerge victorious in a dramatic fight over a vacant House seat during yesterday’s special election. Republican State Senator Troy Balderson will now take over a House seat previously held by Republican Pat Tiberi, who resigned back in January, and took another job in the private sector.

On Tuesday Troy Balderson defeated Democrat Danny O’Connor by less than 1% of the vote. Balderson had 100,052 votes compared to Tiberi’s 251,266 votes in 2016 or 40% of the 2016 turnout. Danny O’Connor had 98,364 votes on Tuesday compared to 112,638 votes received by Democrat Ed Albertson in 2016 or 87% of the 2016 Turnout. This should concern Republican party leaders. The GOP to do a better job or Trump is going to face a Democrat Congress ready to impeach him in 2019.

Actress and left-wing activist Alyssa Milano blamed the Russians after Democrat’s lost Tuesday’s special election in Ohio. “You know what sucks?” the 46-year-old actress wrote. “Because of our unwillingness to pass policy that protects our election integrity, I immediately think the Green Party votes tonight are Russian meddling.”

Results from the Ohio special election on Tuesday support the idea that the GOP is becoming a rural party that could face problems in winning over suburban voters his fall, "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough opined on Wednesday. "This is a party, the Republican Party, that's becoming more and more every day a rural party," the former GOP congressman, a frequent critic of President Trump, said on his morning MSNBC show. GOP candidate Troy Balderson holds a narrow lead in the special election race for a House seat, but the result is close enough that it could trigger a recount...

Republican State Sen. Troy Balderson, 56, eked out a win in Tuesday’s down-to-the-wire special election to fill Ohio’s 12th congressional district after trailing Democrat Danny Lawyer much of the evening. “I thank the thousands and thousands of volunteers who worked in this campaign and I want to thank President Trump and Vice President Pence and the big shoes without whom I would not have gotten through this process, Congressman Pat Tiberi,” said Balderson

@realDonaldTrump When I decided to go to Ohio for Troy Balderson, he was down in early voting 64 to 36. That was not good. After my speech on Saturday night, there was a big turn for the better. Now Troy wins a great victory during a very tough time of the year for voting. He will win BIG in Nov. 10:59 PM · Aug 7, 2018

NEWARK, Ohio -- In a special election for Congress, the single most important message to get across is often the date of the election. "It just might be the most critical thing you leave the voters with," said Wade Rogers, who was with his 15-year-old nephew and wife, Ana Rogers, at the rally Vice President Mike Pence hosted for Republican House candidate Troy Balderson on July 30. For the record, the special election pitting Balderson against Democrat Danny O'Connor and Green Party nominee Joe Manchik is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 7. Pence left no doubt in the packed event hall...

Ohio Governor John Kasich appeared on ABC's "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos on Sunday and ignited a firestorm over the role President Trump is playing in a critical race in Ohio between Republican state Sen. Troy Balderson and Franklin County Recorder Danny O’Connor, a Democrat. The candidates will face off for Rep. Pat Tiberi's abandoned U.S. House seat in what is expected to be a tight contest on Tuesday. On Saturday, Trump, who had previously endorsed Balderson, attended a rally to support the candidate in Lewis Center, Ohio. "But to continue our incredible success, we must elect more Republicans and...

COLUMBUS, Ohio--As Election Day nears in what's expected to be the closest congressional race Ohio has seen in years, both major-party candidates for the 12th Congressional District agree the outcome will depend on one thing: turnout. With turnout for Tuesday's special election expected to be low, the race between Republican Troy Balderson and Democrat Danny O'Connor isn't hanging on which candidate can win the most swing voters. Rather, it's a contest to see who can get their party's faithful to show up. The 12th District, which runs from Mansfield down to north Columbus and east to Zanesville, has been won...

An Emerson College e-Poll released on Monday shows that Tuesday’s special election in Ohio’s 12th Congressional District is a dead heat between Democrat Danny O’Connor and Republican Troy Balderson. The Emerson College Polling Society said in a statement accompanying the release of the poll: The final US Congressional special election before the November midterm elections will be held on August 7 in Ohio’s 12th district and it shows a neck and neck race: The Democrat, Franklin County Recorder Danny O’Connor has 47% of the vote and Republican, State Senator Troy Balderson is at 46%, 7% of very likely voters were...

Everyone who’s looking for midterm clues is watching Tuesday’s special election for Congress in Ohio’s twelfth congressional district, which includes part of Columbus. . . snip It’s appropriate that Columbus is holding such a bellwether race. The area has long been known as a favorite for companies testing products. Its demographics are almost identical to those of the rest of the country. “It was a microcosm of the U.S., in that what happens here will probably happen elsewhere,” Shashi Matta, at Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business, told Columbus Monthly in 2015.

Voters in the Ohio 12thCD, cast your vote for Republican, Troy Balderson on Tuesday, August 7, 2018. The Democrat, Danny O'Connor will be nothing but another Nancy Pelosi clone. Whatever Nancy tells him to so is done...no matter what he might say to you. A vote cast for O'Connor is a vote cast to destroy our great nation Republic. Support, POTUS, Trump, Support Congressman, Jim Jordan, Support & vote for Troy Balderson, Support, MAGA (Make America, Great, Again & keep her that way!!!

One of the most difficult things to do is to predict Ohio politics. The state does not register by party until a person votes in an election. If you did not vote in the previous election, guess what? You get dumped into the “U” bin (“unaffiliated”) until you vote again. Anyway, the numbers produced by the Ohio Secretary of State office are exceedingly inaccurate, at least according to my source, “The Accountant.” In 2016, the Accountant and my other Ohio source “OhioWan” were dead on, saying Trump would win big. Actually, hold that thought: they weren’t dead on. They were...
