On a Philadelphia news program yesterday, Representative Joe Sestak (D-Pennsylvania) said the Obama administration offered him a high-ranking federal job if he would drop his primary challenge to Senator Arlen Spcter (D-Pennsylvania). Mr. Sestak refused to elaborate and seemed chagrined after blurting out "yes" to program host Larry Kane's direct question. "Was it secretary of the Navy?" Mr. Kane asked the retired US Navy Rear Admiral. "No comment," Mr. Sestak said and then added he would never leave the Senate race for a deal.
