In the aftermath of Drudge’s shameful headline story yesterday, Rush decided to take a dig at Drudge using his new headline about $6 gas prices:

Okay, so now that Rick Santorum has shown us that he CAN be aggressive in battle it is time for him to go back to being humble.. answer attackers with short responses and stick to the issues of Ecconomy, National Security, and Illegal Immigration... Only give short responses when asked about abortion and contraception and remind the questioner that WE THE PEOPLE DON'T CARE about that right now.... let the attackers appear foolish as they are, do not give them the time of day.. we know Rick is pro-life, got it.. now back to the issues of the day... Stay...

Atlanta, GA – Newt 2012 Senior Economic Policy Advisor Peter Ferrara released the following topline summary of the official score of Newt’s Jobs and Economy Recovery Plan, which predicts Gingrich policies would balance the budget within the first term of a Gingrich presidency and lead to 6.6 million new jobs created in two years: Newt Gingrich has proposed a very aggressive, comprehensive, supply side economics, jobs and economic recovery plan. It features dramatically lower personal and corporate tax rates, the elimination of the capital gains tax and death tax, deregulation and sound monetary policy. The plan would especially roll back...

A new telephone survey of Likely Georgia Republican Primary Voters shows Gingrich with 33% support, followed by former Senator Rick Santorum at 28%. The four remaining GOP hopefuls gathered in Arizona on Wednesday night for the final debate prior to the Arizona and Michigan primaries coming up on February 28. This debate was sponsored by CNN and the Republican Party of Arizona. It was held at the Mesa Arts Center in Mesa, Arizona.

Georgia Congressman Newt Gingrich looked calm and relaxed throughout the CNN-televised Arizona Republican Presidential Debate Wednesday night, and - as promised, he didn’t level any attacks at his fellow GOP candidates. In the post – debate commentary, the former House Speaker was mentioned as the most likely winner of the debate. It probably helped that the only criticism Gingrich voiced was against President Barack Obama and the “elite media,” Republicans’ two favorite targets. While the other three candidates went after one another, the Speaker stayed above the fray, often chuckling at the jabs the others exchanged. Gingrich himself stayed on...

Newt Gingrich won tonight’s debate, which he needed to do, but not because he out-maneuvered his opponents. Santorum and Romney were simply too focused on each other, with Paul tag-teaming alongside Romney (ambition makes strange bedfellows). All of this gave Gingrich cover and also gave him the opportunity to be the only candidate that directly and repeatedly went after Barack Obama. He looked like a statesman. His answer on infanticide and shifting the focus from GOP and birth control to Obama and his campaign against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act was the rhetorical feat of the night.

Tonight marked the 20th, and possibly last, televised debate among Republican candidates for president of the 2012 cycle. On the whole, it wasn't an especially inspiring or memorable event, but because it was the final opportunity for each candidate to distinguish himself in this sort of setting (at least before Super Tuesday), the stakes were high. My analysis of how each contender performed: Newt Gingrich won the debate, vindicating his team's "let Newt be Newt" strategy. Gone was the angry, embittered former Speaker. Sneering Newt was repealed and replaced by supportive, "cheerful" Newt -- eager to agree with his...

Conservatives have learned how to have our party hi-jacked by the liberal minority. Now it is time to vote strategically to prevent that from happening. First this must be an election AGAINST the remaining liberal - then an election FOR one of the two remaining conservative statesmen - Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum..." (video)

Rick Perry spent his first day on the campaign trail as a Newt Gingrich surrogate, sticking closely to his talking points that Gingrich is the only true conservative left in the race. The Texas governor spoke on several national radio shows and on CNN’s John King USA before visiting the post-debate spin in Mesa, Ariz. Perry had a busy afternoon in the Valley of the Sun with live interviews with King, Michael Medved, Rusty Humpheries and Hugh Hewitt. Similar themes came through in all of his interviews, as he promoted Gingrich as the true conservative and took time to promote...

Citing his record, standing up to Bill Clinton, stopped Hillary Care, cut spending and turned the debt into a surplus, the ad shows Newt Gingrich is the only candidate that has a record of being a proven conservative.

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich may be slipping in the polls, but he will deliver a speech at the annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee policy conference in Washington, a spokesman for AIPAC confirmed today. Gingrich's speech will be on the morning on March 5, one day after U.S. President Barack Obama addresses the conference and before the speech of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who will speak that evening. Obama and Netanyahu will meet in the Oval Office that day. Last December, Gingrich made news when he called the Israeli-Palestinian peace process "delusional" and called the Palestinians an "invented"...

Rick Perry took a shot at Rick Santorum prior to tonight's GOP debate, saying the former Pennsylvania senator is "weak on the 10th Amendment" and lacks the instinct to go after big spending in Washington. In an interview, Perry touted Newt Gingrich as the best Republican in the field to be the party's nominee for president. Perry said of Santorum, "He thinks that Washington needs to be making a substantial amount of those decisions" regarding spending and federal oversight of education, environment and health care decisions better left to the states. Perry appeared on conservative talker Michael Medved's radio show.The...

Newt Gingrich promised ahead of the Republican presidential debate in Arizona on Wednesday night that voters will witness the return of “big solutions” Gingrich and that he plans to leave the negativity backstage. “I think you’re going to see the person I’ve been in 15 out of 17 debates, which is focus on the big solutions, talk with the American people and try to stay out of the kind of negativity that unfortunately has characterized way too much of this race,” Gingrich said on Fox News when asked what kind of candidate people can expect to see at the Mesa,...
