Gingrich Policies Would Create 6.6 Million Jobs in First Two Years; Balance Budget in First Term
Newt.Org ^ | February 23, 2012 | Newt Gingrich

Atlanta, GA – Newt 2012 Senior Economic Policy Advisor Peter Ferrara released the following topline summary of the official score of Newt’s Jobs and Economy Recovery Plan, which predicts Gingrich policies would balance the budget within the first term of a Gingrich presidency and lead to 6.6 million new jobs created in two years: Newt Gingrich has proposed a very aggressive, comprehensive, supply side economics, jobs and economic recovery plan. It features dramatically lower personal and corporate tax rates, the elimination of the capital gains tax and death tax, deregulation and sound monetary policy. The plan would especially roll back regulatory barriers to energy production, unleashing the private sector to maximize all forms of American energy production. Full details of the plan can be found in Appendix A. Art Laffer, supply side economics guru and architect of Ronald Reagan’s economic recovery package, has endorsed Gingrich’s economic recovery plan as the most promising pro-growth package, saying, “Newt has the best plan for jobs and economic growth of any candidate in the field.” He predicts that the plan “would create a boom of new investment and economic growth leading to the creation of tens of millions of new jobs over the next decade.”

Under Newt Gingrich's brave leadership in the 1990's, we saw an unemployment rate of only 4.2% and gas prices tumble to less than a dollar per gallon. The Gingrich Revolution was even more remarkable back then because Clinton was fighting him at every turn.

I can envision a prosperous, strong America starting in 2013 when President Gingrich takes office, supported by a wave of Tea Party Patriots in Congress. In less than a year, we'll see the return of American Exceptionalism accompanied by a much smaller government.

Reminds me of the BS put out by obummer about his stimulus. However, it could be one of the USSR five year plans.

It is a bold claim, that’s for sure. If anyone could pull it off, however, it would be Newt.

Newt has got the answers but millions of Americans are idiots not to understand that Newt will return America to a conservative Constitutional land again. Romney and Santorum are just little school boys that will take too long to educate how Washington works. The new President will take years to rebuild the system but in the meantime it take a real insider to get immediate changes. That is Newt and Newt only.

Newt can do it, the man is a genius and means what he says. In the face of all opposition he will still succeed.

You'll love the next 4 years of Obama, Romney or Santorum then. They are all basically the same. At least Newt has some plans to restore this country to what it once was.

Sounds wonderful. It’s good we’re able to dream of that kind of America once again. Thanks for throwing some “warm fuzzies” our way today!

Reminds me of the policies that saved our economy after the Jimmy Carter years.

There is not one thing in to-days economy and its problems similar to the days of Jimmy peanut, 24% interest, a whole different ball game.

“The Gingrich tax reform plan was not designed to be revenue neutral, but to maximize job creation, economic growth and prosperity. The Gingrich plan is not to bring revenues up to the level of federal spending, but to reduce federal spending to the level of revenues produced by a maximum jobs and growth economy.”

The reason the GOP-E hates Newt. Newt is going to turn off the spigot on there flow of USD.

Newt 2012 He has a Bold plan to Bring America back. Mittens / Sainty you got one?

These sort of predictions I find a bit ludricrous. There is no way one man, or even on economic team, can anticipate the millions of events and variables on this world that will effect the economic wealth of a nation. Governments don't create jobs or good economies. They can only create the conditions that promote job creation. I think a modest aim to emulate say the Presidencies of the minimalists like Harding and Coolidge is what should be aimed for.

You are correct, reduce government and then reduce government and then reduce government, the economy will fix its self.
