The moment that made Gingrich was when he got Tip O'Neill so all fire mad that Tip made statements in violation of House rules and had his words "taken down," a major parliamentary slap on the hindquarters. You can watch the C-SPAN video here: Tip O'Neill's words taken down. Now, this week we've heard the RINOs try to slam Gingrich's attitude to Reagan's foreign policy vis-a-vis the communists, trying to claim that when the liberals in the House were criticizing Reagan's policy and threatening to cut off funding for the Contras, Gingrich was right along them agreeing with it. How...

Abraham Foxman, the amiably chatty director of the Jewish civil rights group, the Anti-Defamation League, has a story to tell about his friend, the 78-year-old multi-billionaire casino mogul Sheldon Adelson. Adelson, who is America's eighth richest man and has given millions of dollars in support of Newt Gingrich's presidential bid, was having dinner with Foxman in Las Vegas several years ago. Foxman let slip that he was having to miss an invitation to the White House from the then president, George W. Bush. Foxman explained it was impossible to get a commercial flight. Adelson replied: "If the president of the...

Port St. Lucie, Fla. -- Whether or not he wins Florida, Newt Gingrich says, "I will go all the way to the convention. I expect to win the nomination." Mitt Romney's surrogates have been appearing at every one of Newt Gingrich's rallies in the Sunshine State, but the tactic hasn't seemed to draw much reaction from the former House speaker, who on Saturday turned most of his attention to President Obama on the stump. He focused on three things "that matter to Florida ... jobs, housing, and space." (snip) "People ask me what can we do about getting more jobs...

COMMENTARY | The latest attack against Newt Gingrich accuses him of the worst thing a Republican can be. Apparently, despite his assertion that he was a loyal lieutenant to President Ronald Reagan, Gingrich was "insulting" to Reagan on a number of occasions. Leading the charge on the theme of "Gingrich was an enemy of Reagan" is Elliott Abrams, who was an assistant secretary of state in the Reagan administration. .. To be sure, the speech seems off-putting considering subsequent events, such as the fall of the Soviet Empire. But was Gingrich really an enemy of Reagan? William Jacobson at Legal...

Should Mitt Romney win the Florida primary, it will be with minimal Tea Party support. Many in the movement view the former Massachusetts governor warily. But his campaign also has made little effort to reach out to activists, say many Tea Party leaders in the Sunshine State.

"This is the third [pro-life] event that he has declined to attend," says Mason. "It seems he is not interested in engaging with social conservatives, not interested in defending his apparent pro-life conversions, and not interested in courting those who are pro-life or pro-marriage -- both." [snip] Personhood USA is hosting the third conservative presidential forum in Florida on Saturday...but Newt Gingrich may be the only candidate to speak. The forum, called "Florida Awake," is co-sponsored with Liberty Counsel. Personhood USA president Keith Mason says Mitt Romney will be a no-show again. On Friday, a spokesperson for Personhood USA reported...

A new Quinnipiac University poll released on Wednesday reveals that evangelicals and Tea Party supporters are breaking hard for Newt Gingrich in Florida, putting the former House Speaker within two points of front-runner and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. A press release describing the poll states Gingrich "leads among white evangelical Christians 43 - 30 percent and among those who consider themselves to be tea party supporters 43 - 28 percent." Each segment makes up roughly a third of primary voters, according to Quinnipiac pollsters, "although there is substantial overlap among those two groups." Coming off the heels of his...

Newt Gingrich will attend a presidential candidate forum Saturday in Winter Park, site of a tea party rally. The rally, one of three events by Tea Party Express today, will be held in front of Aloma Church at 1:30 p.m. The church is at 1815 State Road 436. It is also the location for the First Awake! And all it is is anti-Newt 24/7. All he's giving me in these campaign commercials are reasons NOT to vote for Newt, but has yet, in any commercial, in any meaningful way, to tell me why I should vote FOR him. Perhaps that's because he and Ears have far too much in common. Exposing his actual positions would confirm he's nothing more than Ears-light. We don't need that. I may be one of those gun-totin, bible-thumpin, God-fearin, hard-workin Southern guys we hear so much about, but I ain't stupid. I don't react well to negative campaigning. All I am is...

We know that we ave passed from death to life, because we LOVE our brothers. Anyone who does not LOVE remains in death. 1 John 3:14 “It’s not worth getting angry about!” This may have been the line that sank the largest Gladiator to ever run for the Republican nomination. This came from his subconscious and was a statement of war against the Tea Party and any freedom loving patriots who are spitting mad at the thought of having their lives being run by an inefficient gummit bureaucracy. Yes Mitt, it is worth getting angry about as is the need...

..... I’ve got a new partisan breakdown of some numbers from the new NBC/WSJ poll, and here’s the verdict: Romney’s unfavorability rating among independents has spiked 20 points in the last two months. The poll found that among overall Americans, Romney is rated very or somewhat positively by 31 percent, while he’s rated very or somewhat negatively by 36 percent............ In November, Romney was rated somewhat or very negatively by 22 percent of independents. In December, Romney was rated somewhat or very negatively by 29 percent of independents. And in the new poll, Romney was rated somewhat or very negatively...

Has anyone other than Freerepublic published Sarah Palin's latest piece on Facebook regarding the GOP-E, Mittens, and Newt? I really think it could help Newt....so I'm guessing that means no one outside of FR will report on it. I have to think Palin's pseudo-endorsement in SC helped push Newt over the top. In guessing the Romneybots, and the GOP-E are pissing their pants at the thought of this story getting out. All this being said, I'm really glad she wrote it, but her timing was poor. Typically the DC folks dump documents and stories on Friday nights to minimize the...

Was Elliott Abrams Deceived on Newt? January 27, 2012 BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I mentioned his name yesterday --Jeffrey Lord was in the political office of the White House during the first term of Reagan, maybe both terms. Jeffrey Lord now writes at the American Spectator.Jeffrey Lord, like me, didn't understand all this stuff at Newt yesterday. AP has a story referring to me now as "conservative radio titan."And they describe me as trying to defend Newt on this yesterday, and in the process, nevertheless, recounting all of the things that Newt had said. I wasn't trying to defend Newt,...

Debating in Tampa Florida this month, Mitt Romney strongly denied that his investment company Bain Capital did "any work with the government like Medicaid and Medicare." However, under Romney's "supervision," Bain purchased and ran the Damon Corporation which pled guilty to Federal conspiracy charges - as a result of tens of millions in systemic Medicare fraud... According to a cited Forbes report, in 1989, Bain Capital purchased controlling interest in Damon Corp. a medical testing company located in Needham, Massachusetts. "During the time that Bain held its ownership of the company, Mitt Romney personally sat on the board of directors.."...
