In order to avoid a Republican primary, Murkowski operatives orchestrated a takeover of state election laws. Election officials called Alaska’s special election House race for Democrat Mary Peltola over 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin last week. Peltola’s victory, despite nearly 60 percent of votes cast for a Republican on all first-choice ballots, will mark the first time since 1973 that a Democrat will represent the state in the lower chamber. Whether the August contest was Palin’s race or Republican Nick Begich’s race to lose is an open question. Whether the Republicans’ loss was a consequence of Alaska’s new...

Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski has won the backing of several billionaire donors in her battle for a fourth term. Leading the pack is hedge fund tycoon Ken Griffin, one of seven moguls who have donated over $25,000 to help Murkowski stay in the Senate. Griffin sent $1.5 million to Alaskans for L.I.S.A., a super PAC that can accept unlimited donations. The group, founded by former Murkowski campaign staffers, claims the acronym in its name stands for “Leadership In a Strong Alaska,” but it only backs one candidate: Murkowski, and has spent $2.7 million on her behalf. In addition to Griffin,...

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) was projected to advance from the state’s Republican Senate primary, setting her up to compete in November’s midterm general election. The Associated Press made the call at 1:41 p.m. ET. The incumbent senator was widely expected to advance from the all-party primary in which the top four vote-getters advanced to the general election. The primary was seen as a test for former President Trump’s endorsement. Trump backed Murkowski’s primary challenger Kelly Tschibaka in the wake of Murkowski’s vote to convict him in his second impeachment trial. Tschibaka was also projected to advance early Wednesday morning.

2022 Alaska Primary Election Results

Two of the most high-profile Republicans who have stood up to former President Donald Trump’s false claims of election fraud are facing the voters on Aug. 16. And while one of them will almost certainly survive, the other is probably going to lose. Out of the seven Republican senators who voted to convict Trump for his role in the Jan. 6 riot, only one is also running for reelection this year: Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski. And she’s virtually guaranteed to make it to the November ballot — but not necessarily because Alaskans agree with her criticism of “Stop the Steal.”...

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) appeared to run away from a reporter’s question about her staff members’ involvement in changing state election law, as seen in a video released by Project Veritas. Project Veritas press secretary R.C. Maxwell questioned Murkowski outside of an Americans for Prosperity event after Project Veritas reportedly revealed that several of Murkowski’s former staffers pushed for Alaska’s Ballot Measure 2 to secure Murkowski’s reelection. In 2020, Alaska voters approved Ballot Measure 2 by a margin of roughly 4,000 votes. That ballot measure ended the two-party primary system for Alaskan elections. Now, Alaska will hold ranked choice voting,...

Sen. Tim Scott Thursday defended his endorsement of Sen. Lisa Murkowski for re-election, amid blowback from some Republicans who support her Trump-endorsed opponent, Kelly Tshibaka. "The road to socialism runs right through a divided Republican Party," Scott, R-S.C., said. "I like winning and frankly the best shot at us keeping that seat is without doubt Lisa Murkowski." Scott said that among the reasons he thinks Murkowski, R-Alaska, gives Republicans the best chance to hold on to her seat in a key election year is that "the power of incumbency is undeniable." He added that "she works really hard." The senator's...

. GOP funded Senator Murkowski speaks with David Hogg - he tells her he doesn’t want to do anything crazy like the NRA and she agrees, she says Congress owes him some steps (forward) on the issue. Hogg says Racism needs to be addressed too - and Murkowski agrees! Murkowski goes on to support the Cave on the Gun Bill - and Bide Took a badly needed Victory Lap. Hunter Biden’s Gun issues were never brought up as an example of DC Justice and Red Flag Federal law (Intentional) Fails.

Establishment Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) is underwater with Alaskan Republican voters, according to a Monday Morning Consult poll. Only 41 percent approved of Murkowski’s job performance, while 46 percent disapproved. The polling comes as Murkowski, who is supported by Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), hopes to defeat Donald Trump-endorsed Kelly Tshibaka in the August 16 Republican primary. In March polling, Murkowski trailed Tshibaka (45.4 to 28.7 percent). Murkowski’s campaign has been flooded with donations from large political action groups. Murkowski ended the second quarter with $6.1 million in her campaign account with a second quarter raise of $1.7 million. In contrast,...

Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski is doing so poorly in Alaska that she is welcoming Democrats to help her with her campaign. Lisa Murkowski is a piece of work. The daughter of former Alaska governor and Senator Frank Murkowski, Lisa took over from her father in the early 2000s and has been in her seat ever since. Frank Murkowski was a senator starting in 1981 so there has been a Murkowski US senator from Alaska for 40 years. The conservative movement saw Lisa Murkowski’s true colors during the Trump Administration. Fellow RINO Mitch McConnell has pledged his support for crooked Murkowski...

The Cornyn Victory Committee has fundraised nearly $300,000 for Lisa Murkowski’s Senate campaign. RINO Sen. John Cornyn (TX) and RINO Sen. Lisa Murkowski (AL) are jointly fundraising to help each other remain in the GOP this 2022 election cycle. FEC data shows Cornyn’s committee has sent $288,858 to Murkowski’s Senate fundraising committee over the past 12 months. Another one of Murkowski’s RINO fundraisers is Mitt Romney and his “Friends of Mitt Joint Fundraising Committee.” This committee has helped Murkowski fundraise nearly $50,000.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) warned state voters to "not let lower-48 donors determine who is sent to Washington to represent us. These donors don't know our state like I do. Don't let their donations to my opponent allow her to unseat me." Murkowski's characterization of the race doesn't match up well with the data. According to public campaign finance documents, 85% of Murkowski's funds come from out-of-state donors. Further, 89% of her $5 million campaign chest comes from large donors. Her opponent Kelly Tshibaka's campaign chest of $2.5 million has garnered 50% from out-of-state donors. Of the total $2.5 million,...

Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski said on Tuesday that her "confidence" in the Supreme Court has been rocked after a leaked draft opinion suggests that the constitutional right to abortion would be overturned by conservative justices on the court — two of whom she voted to approve. Murkowski, who is among the few Senate Republicans who support abortion rights, made the comments to reporters on Capitol Hill in the wake of the bombshell news of the draft opinion that shows the court is ready to overturn the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade. The decision — if finalized...

Never forget. These six Republicans voted to put this little demon in charge of the US borders. FOX News reported: The Senate confirmed Alejandro Mayorkas as President Biden’s Department of Homeland Security secretary, despite opposition from a number of Republicans. The final vote was 56-43, with Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., not voting. Mayorkas, a former head of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and deputy Homeland Security secretary, will be the first immigrant to hold the top DHS spot. Mayorkas’ confirmation was less bipartisan than another member of Biden’s cabinet confirmed Tuesday: Pete Buttigieg became transportation secretary in an 83-13 vote....

Establishment Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) on Thursday admitted she may lose her primary bid to Donald Trump-endorsed candidate Kelly Tshibaka. “I may not be re-elected,” Murkowski told the New York Times about the possible end of her 20-year Senate career. “It may be that Alaskans say, ‘Nope, we want to go with an absolute, down-the-line, always, always, 100-percent, never-question, rubber-stamp Republican,’ she said about Tshibaka who is leading in the polls. “And if they say that that’s the way that Alaska has gone — kind of the same direction that so many other parts of the country have gone...

Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s (R-Alaska) said in a new interview it is possible she loses her reelection bid to a “rubber-stamp Republican.” “I may be the last man standing. I may not be re-elected,” the senator told The New York Times. “It may be that Alaskans say, ‘Nope, we want to go with an absolute, down-the-line, always, always, 100-percent, never-question, rubber-stamp Republican.’ “And if they say that that’s the way that Alaska has gone — kind of the same direction that so many other parts of the country have gone —I have to accept that,” she added. “But I’m going to...
