Barely a month before the 9/11 terror attacks, two Pakistani nuclear scientists, said to be close to disgraced Abdul Qadeer Khan, met up with al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden and offered to supply him with atomic weapons, according to a newly released book Chaudiri Abdul Majeed and Sultan Bashiruddin Mahmood, who held a series of senior posts in Pakistani nuke programme, went to Taliban headquarters in Kandahar in mid-August 2001 and spent three days with bin Laden who was keen on acquiring weapons of mass destruction, the book says. In fact, Mahmood was said to be more close to Khan,...

As the world knows now, a particularly juvenile Iraqi journalist threw a shoe at George Bush in Baghdad Sunday. Bush characteristically made light of the situation. If there’s one thing many can agree on about the president, it’s that he doesn’t take insults too personally, at least in public. Good thing too, considering all the abuse that has been heaped on him in recent years. I can’t imagine I would have behaved the same way. With my temper, I would probably have picked up the shoe and gone after the dopey journo myself. Well, maybe I wouldn’t have. The clod...

MUMBAI: The Muslims of terror-plagued Mumbai know the drill. First there is bloodshed. Then come the whispers, the accusing stares, the scarcely veiled hostility. "They are going to say that all Muslims do this," restaurateur Naved Akhtar Mirza said, after gunmen, apparently Islamic extremists, stormed India's financial capital last month, shooting up a train station and killing hostages at two hotels and a Jewish center. To their relief, no violence against Muslims has erupted, despite simmering tensions and several previous episodes of sectarian strife. Community leaders hope that a grudging sense of tolerance, if not harmony, will continue to prevail...

Iraqi war veteran Kevin Murray is suing the US government for bailing out AIG . The reason being that AIG supports sharia financing which in turn promotes Islam. Mr. Murray is claiming that our government is breaking the First Amendment by endorsing a religion. I applaud this man and this will be very interesting to watch.

A British prison has decided not to include a crucifix in the décor of its new chapel for fear of offending Muslim inmates. The ‘multi-faith space’ at HMP Lewes is divided in two sections, according to the Daily Mail. One half-features heated footbaths for Muslim worshipers; the other side, dedicated to Christian prayer, features a removable altar and a plain wooden cross – also removable. Plans to include the traditional Christian crucifix were erased from the chapel’s blueprints on the advice of a Muslim imam, the Daily Mail reported.

You'd think that since the liberal media believes in the importance of global awareness, that their coverage of the riots in Greece would be as extensive as the coverage of a local disaster such as 9/11. However, as usual, the liberal left demonstrates that it does not walk its own talk. And why exactly does it brazenly bear such hypocrisy? It is because the left is either lying, stupid or both.

Barack Obama has been toying with the idea of dialogue with the Islamic world for two years now - but he has yet to approach the idea of actually saying anything meaningful. At one point, his advisers talked of convening a White House summit with Muslim leaders. When that scheme was exposed as fanciful, they recommended that he attend the Islamic Summit Conference, convened once every three years. But that, too, has turned out to be problematic - so now they talking of plans for "a major address in an Islamic capital." But what does Obama wish to say in...

A group of about 200 Turkish intellectuals on Monday issued an apology on the Internet for the World War I-era massacres of Armenians in Turkey. The group of prominent academics, journalists, writers and artists avoided using the contentious term ``genocide'' in the apology, using the less explosive ``Great Catastrophe'' instead. But the apology is a sign that many in Turkey are ready to break a long-held taboo against acknowledging Turkish culpability for the deaths. Historians estimate that, in the last days of the Ottoman Empire, up to 1.5 million Armenians were killed by Ottoman Turks in what is widely regarded...

Over three-fourths of terrorist attacks investigated in the UK had Al Qaeda and Pakistan links, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said during a whistlestop tour of India and Pakistan on Sunday. His comment became the latest blow to Pakistan which is trying hard to distance itself from the Mumbai attacks. After meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to express solidarity with India in the wake of the Mumbai attacks, Brown, in a damning indictment of Pakistan, said, "The group responsible for the attacks is LeT and they have a great deal to answer for." Brown later travelled to Islamabad and launched...

Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel, Islamic imperialism would have found other places to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Therefore, the war against Israel is not a war against Israel. It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Thanks to Israeli parents who see their children go off to join the army and lie awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and have pleasant dreams, unaware of the dangers looming. At present the front-line of jihad runs...

Financial crises, like epidemics, kill the unhealthy first. The present crisis is painful for most of the world but deadly for many Muslim countries, and especially so for the most populous ones. Policy makers have not begun to assess the damage. The diplomatic strategy of the industrial nations now resembles a James Clavell potboiler, in which an earthquake interrupts a hopelessly immured plot. Moderate Islam was the El Dorado of the diplomatic consensus. It might have been the case that Pakistan could be tethered to Western interests, or that Iran could be engaged peacefully, or that Turkey would incubate a...

The chorus of liberal observers who railed against the Iraq War, calling it an unnecessary and unwinnable blunder, have repurposed their defeatist denunciations and aimed them at the American effort in Afghanistan. It matters not that this same crowd used to hold up Afghanistan as the “right war” in criticizing Iraq. It is now the wrong war for the simple reason that it has become the more challenging. Unsurprisingly, Joe Klein leads the pack of migrant cut-and-runners. Klein, who in June described the Iraq War as “currently drawing crucial resources from the more important war in Afghanistan,” has now decided...

President-Elect Barack Obama’s initial attempt to reason with the Iranian government on the issue of nuclear weaponry was disdained by Iran’s conservative parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani. “I find Mr. Obama’s emphasis on phallic implements offensive and inane,” Larijani said. “There is nothing he can offer. There is no threat he can utter that will deter us from our holy mission to wipe the Jews off the map.” Larijani scoffed at Obama’s so-called “nuclear umbrella” for Israel. “The Americans don’t have the stomach for death that we have in Iran,” Larijani boasted. “If they could prove that we are the ones...

A man wanted by Interpol for his links to an alleged terrorist organisation has been advising Scotland Yard on countering Muslim extremism, a Times investigation has discovered. Mohamed Ali Harrath has been the subject of the Interpol red notice since 1992 because of his alleged activities in Tunisia, where he co-founded the Tunisian Islamic Front (FIT). Tunisia has accused Mr Harrath, the chief executive officer of the Islam Channel in Britain and an adviser to the Scotland Yard Muslim Contact Unit, of seeking help from Osama bin Laden. It says that the FIT wants to establish “an Islamic state by...

How low will they go?? As low as laser blinding Greek Police: "A riot policeman is aimed at with a laser light pointer during riots outside the Athens Polytechnic. Small bands of Greek rioters hurling firebombs attacked an environment ministry building, shops and banks in Athens on Saturday during an eighth day of protests following the killing of a teenager by police." And that's not all: "A warning from Serb intelligence about the mobilization of an extremist Islamic organization in Greece has put the Greek authorities on high alert. Several days ago, Serb intelligence briefed a Serb parliamentary Committee that...

Following Rabbi's Murder, Extremists Surround Jewish Homes in Yemen: No action from Yemeni government Following our earlier report on the sectarian murder of a Jewish rabbi, a group of Muslim extremists (associated with the murderer) are surrounding the houses of several Jewish families, throwing rocks and preventing them from leaving their homes. The government has taken no action and in desperation, the murdered man's brother called a local news outlet.

TWELVE more children are being groomed to carry out suicide attacks against British forces in an escalation of the Taliban’s new dirty war. As Gordon Brown, in Afghanistan yesterday, praised the bravery of three Royal Marines killed by a 13-year-old suicide bomber, we disclose that the attack is just the start of a concerted campaign to drive out British troops. Intelligence sources say 12 Pakistani children are being groomed at a secret camp in the mountains where their controllers give them heroin as part of their brainwashing techniques. The campaign is designed to sap morale and turn public opinion against...
