As the world knows now, a particularly juvenile Iraqi journalist threw a shoe at George Bush in Baghdad Sunday. Bush characteristically made light of the situation. If theres one thing many can agree on about the president, its that he doesnt take insults too personally, at least in public. Good thing too, considering all the abuse that has been heaped on him in recent years. I cant imagine I would have behaved the same way. With my temper, I would probably have picked up the shoe and gone after the dopey journo myself.
Well, maybe I wouldnt have. The clod probably did Bush a favor, making the president look good...

I am in the mood to throw a shoe after his announcement on TARP/UAW bailout. But today I just laughed when I saw it. Till I learned on FNC GWB/USA agreed to complete US evacuation of Iraq in three years, no bases for US. And we fought and spilled blood and $$$ for what? Maybe the news was missing something, please tell me we get something out of this.
Actually, it was pretty funny. Bush moves quick for an old man. And then to see him laught about it was even better.
I admit to one of those fantasies that one indulges themselves in from time to time. I would like to have been seated next to this rude pig who dared to insult the President of the United States wearing a pair of six inch heels. I would have buried one in his arm before the second shoe got off. Maybe his skull. Whatever body part I could get to.
This misses the point.
Under Saddam, this would never have happened because there were no "reporters". Instead there was only an official story.
There was no dissent. Instead there were rooms for torture.
Thanks, President Bush. Our actions have given rise to true political discourse. In some cases, that means throwing shoes. In our country, it mostly means throwing a lot of bulls**t.
If so, just a gentle shoed foot to the butt would be sufficient to be able to declare mission accomplished.
ITS NOT OVER YET.
We kept al quida pretty busy and dismembered for 8 yrs...hopefully more.
The UAW “bailout” is temporary...now it is Obozo’s mess to deal with the UAW or watch the car industry go down. It puts Obozo in a no win situation and backs him into an even more tough corner. Politically the move was excellant. a win -win for conservatives. ...now its the Dems problem and the people will not sign on for “another “ bailout and the screws just got tighter.
wwOd?
Is anybody keeping track of the DUmmies and their comments on the sole man?
I watched the video, he sure has great reflexes.
I completely disagree about this event doing Bush a favor. And his press secretary literally has a black eye, for cripe’s sake. Political opponents don’t get gifts like these, ever.
Billions and billions of dollars for this war I supported.
Thousands of wounded and deaths for this war.
And an ungrateful Arab throws a shoe at our President.
It’s a symbol of the Bush Presidency...

After watching that video on BBC, I am really ANGRY. How did that man throw two shoes? Why wasn’t he tackled and handcuffed immediately? How could he be so close to the President? That is our President! Oh I am so mad. Who are the IDIOTS who are protecting him? Having coffee or??
I laughed at President Bush’s reaction: great reflexes and a funny response too (”All I can report is that it was a size 10”)!
The DUmmies have spent years painting him out as a total klutz, but there’s no way a klutz could have moved like he did! LOL!
Bush is a rare character indeed. Don’t let false impressions driven by the media and the left guide your perceptions of the man.
Obama may be eloquent but he has 0 character when compared to Bush.
Thank you Mr. Iraqi journalist [sic]. Good for you.

Well there it is.
The Bush Legacy...
The most entertaining President of the 20th century.
Gonna miss him.
Under Saddamn this man and his entire family would be fed to the pigs.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Too bad it’s the 21st century. ;-)
As which, he definitely qualifies as yet.
