One of the reasons why the Flynn legal situation is so interesting is not really because of Flynn himself; but rather because the Flynn situation is a likely example of President Obama’s surveillance network in operation. Tenuous legal theories (Logan Act) and obscure laws (technical FARA violations) appear to have been exploited by DOJ administration officials, in close ideological alignment with the Lawfare Group. In association with overall Obama administration officials, the fellow travelers used the legal system to create a DC surveillance network. At the 30,000 ft. level Obama’s surveillance network looks like this:• White House identifies a target; •passes...

MEXICO BEACH, Fla. — The towering debris piles that lined Highway 98 are gone now, six months after the 16-foot storm surge from Hurricane Michael pulverized this town. But smaller berms of waste remain: concrete blocks, rebar, pipes and planks, mounded like artificial dunes on the side of the road.

Oh boy! Barack Obama’s half brother, Malik, took to Twitter on Thursday to ask if Michelle is actually “Michael”. “Is Michelle Michael?” Obama asked, referring to a conspiracy theory that the former First Lady is actually a man. In 2017, Alex Jones claimed to have proof that Michelle was male. The Independent reported: In a 12-minute video, the Infowars host analyses footage and photos which he believes prove Ms Obama has a penis. “Since the early days of the Obama administration, citizens across the board have studied videos and photos of Michelle Obama and said that she is a man,”...

It is both harrowing and infinitely sad to see "Leaving Neverland" and "Surviving R. Kelly," two cable television documentaries about the crime of child sexual abuse, its perpetrators and victims. R. Kelly currently sits in a Chicago jail cell for failure to pay child support, while at the same time, years of allegations about his sexual abuse of underage girls, have finally caught up with him. The R&B star says he is unfairly accused and that his career has been ruined by the allegations. "Leaving Neverland" aired last week, profiling two men who say Michael Jackson sexually abused them when...

Michelle Obama shared with "Good Morning America" co-anchor Robin Roberts some key advice she'd give her pre-White House self, if she had the chance, as the two sat down to discuss her memoir, "Becoming." "You know the hard parts were the things that I expected," Michelle Obama told Roberts in the exclusive interview. "That it was gonna be hard, you know? Being the first black anything is gonna be hard." "So much of this country lives in isolation and we just don't know each other. ... There were people who didn't know what a black woman was and sounded like....

Michelle Obama says she felt alone after a miscarriage 20 years ago and she and Barack Obama underwent fertility treatments to conceive their two daughters, according to her upcoming memoir. In some of her most extensive public comments on her White House years, the former first lady also lets her fury fly over President Donald Trump's "bigotry and xenophobia" — dangerous, deliberate rhetoric, she wrote, that risked her family's safety. "For this," she writes, "I'd never forgive him." But it's her deeply personal account of her marriage to the future president that shed new light on the Ivy League-educated couple's...

President Trump on Friday hit back at former first lady Michelle Obama after she wrote in a new book she'll "never forgive" the president for promoting the birther movement — chiding her husband, ex-President Barack Obama, for “what he did to our United States military.” “She got paid a lot of money to write a book, and they always insist that you come up with controversy,” Trump told reporters at the White House before departing for Paris. “Well, I’ll give you a little controversy back. I’ll never forgive [President Obama] for what he did to our United States military by...

Former first lady Michelle Obama tears into President Donald Trump in her new book, saying his false “birther” accusations against President Barack Obama threatened the safety of the family. According to a Washington Post review of the book, Obama writes in Becoming: “The whole [birther] thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed. But it was also dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks. What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his...

MEXICO BEACH, Fla. — As they built their dream house last year on the shimmering sands of the Gulf of Mexico, Russell King and his nephew, Dr. Lebron Lackey, painstakingly documented every detail of the elevated construction, from the 40-foot pilings buried into the ground to the types of screws drilled into the walls. They picked gleaming paints from a palette of shore colors, chose salt-tolerant species to plant in the beach dunes and christened their creation the Sand Palace of Mexico Beach. They also installed an outdoor security camera. Its video footage became the only view of their property...

Saturday morning my wife and I took off from Fort Walton Beach on our motorcycles to go to Panama City and check on my sister and her family and my wife's cousin and her family. We had not heard much info from either of them since Wednesday, when Hurricane Michael hit, just that they were 'safe' and everybody was alive, thanks be to God Almighty. On the way, down Highway 98, we saw convoys of people, possibly church groups, in pick-ups full of bottled water and other such necessities. We saw many, many work trucks for tree services from as...

MEXICO BEACH, Fla. One family returning to their home following Michael found whole walls missing and part of their roof blown off. Marla Wood is an accountant from Atlanta. Her vacation home, close to loved ones, is nestled just across from the ocean on Highway 98 in Mexico Beach. Her husband’s family owns the Driftwood Inn, which was wiped out, but Marla’s mother-in-law’s bible was unscathed! It was one of the few things Hurricane Michael didn’t destroy. Marla was on the internet back in Geogia before getting the car to drive to Florida. She had a five-hour drive to brace...

The worst of Hurricane Michael’s remnants were supposed to track south of tiny Charlotte County in southern Virginia, but a desperate 911 call Thursday night told a different story: A car had been washed away in a torrential flash flood. When sheriff’s deputies raced to the scene on Mount Harmony Road after 11 p.m., county administrator Daniel Witt said they heard the screams of a 17-year-old boy clinging to a guardrail. The sheriff’s deputies and some bystanders linked arms and waded into the raging water, before tossing the teen a rope. He was pulled to safety, but his father and...

TALLAHASSEE The oldest and largest psychiatric hospital in Florida was left inaccessible as Hurricane Michael carved its path across the Panhandle, knocking out power and ripping buildings to shreds. The storm’s eyewall passed right over the town of Chattahoochee, leaving it and the hospital “entirely cut off,” state emergency officials said Thursday. The hospital was not evacuated ahead of the storm. Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee, which had about 975 residents and about 325 staff staying inside, was left with only emergency radios as a means to communicate with first responders. The hospital had backup power and water systems that...

PANAMA CITY, Fla. The devastation inflicted by Hurricane Michael came into focus Thursday with rows upon rows of homes found smashed to pieces, and rescue crews began making their way into the stricken areas in hopes of accounting for hundreds of people who may have defied evacuation orders. At least two deaths were blamed on Michael, the most powerful hurricane to hit the continental U.S. in over 50 years, and it wasn't done yet: Though reduced to a tropical storm, it brought flash flooding to North Carolina and Virginia, soaking areas still recovering from Hurricane Florence. Under a perfectly clear...

Residents of the Florida Panhandle began taking in scenes of destruction Wednesday night, hours after Hurricane Michael slammed into the coast with a fury that ranked it among the most powerful storms ever to hit the United States. “It’s all gone,” Deep Patel, 24, said as he stared at the remains of his duplex bedroom in Panama City, near where Michael made landfall as a Category 4 storm in the afternoon, packing winds of 155 mph. Most of the wooden rafters had been ripped off, exposing an upturned mattress. A bathtub landed a few houses away in a neighbor’s yard....
