This new Los Angeles Rams stadium better be good. We know it will be expensive, to a record level. Sports Business Journal reported that costs for the new stadium in Inglewood have passed $4 billion. You read that right. Stadium costs have gone way up through the years, but no other stadium in the United States has come anywhere close to this. SBJ said the most expensive stadium previous to this was MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, and that cost $1.7 billion. The Raiders’ new stadium in Las Vegas is expected to cost more than $2 billion. That’s still less...

A Nassau bagpipe band has passed on the Jets’ invite to play during halftime over NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem, officials said Friday. A Jets group sales representative asked the Nassau County Firefighters Pipes and Drums Band early this week to entertain the crowd during the Nov. 2 game against the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, said band manager Bobby Hughes, an original member of the band and an East Meadow volunteer firefighter. “We don’t feel we belong there,” said Hughes, a longtime Jets season ticket holder. “We cannot in good...

Abortionists terminated the lives of 83,750 babies in New York City in 2010, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s latest “Abortion Surveillance” report, which was published on Nov. 29, 2013. That is more than enough people to sell out MetLife Stadium, the site of this year’s Super Bowl, which is located in East Rutherford, N.J., and is home to both the New York Jets and the New York Giants. According to its official website, MetLife has a capacity of 82,500. The 83,750 babies aborted in New York City in 2010, according to the CDC’s annual “Abortion Surveillance,”...
  • NFL could reschedule Super Bowl in case of snow

NFL officials are ready for all contingencies related to Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium. Even if it means staging the game on a different day. Possibly even a different week. Although every Giants and Jets game has been played as scheduled at MetLife Stadium and Giants Stadium -- going all the way back to 1976 for the Giants, to 1984 for the Jets -- officials have plans in place for a weather event that could change the day of the game from its scheduled Feb. 2 date.
