We had a great time today at the Sarasota Rally for the Troops. Several hundred were in attendance. All waving flags, and signs supporting our troops. Such a great sight, and I don't think I've ever heard so many car horns in my life.Me and "Blue Highway" met several Freepers in the crowd, and we all enjoyed a great lunch at Marina Jacks. It was so great to meet other Freepers.Thank you to all who were there. JulieRNR21 and Nautinurse(sp? sorry) have names and pictures from the event. This was my first Freep, and the same goes for Blue Highway. I'll...

Found out about this rally the middle of last week by an announcement posted by guinnessboy. Then I mass e-mailed some local New Hampshire patriots and we managed to get six people to head down to Medford, MA to rally for America. There was something very enticing to us about attending one of these rallies in the heart of LiberalLand!

5,000+ show support for U.S. at USA Stadium in Millington By Woody Baird The Associated Press March 22, 2003 MILLINGTON, Tenn. — Ricky Hunt held a poster with an 8-by-10 photograph of a young Marine and carried a large Marine Corps flag over his shoulder as he stood at the entrance to USA Stadium Saturday for a pro-military rally. Hunt, who lives in nearby Bartlett, said he spent seven years coaching baseball for the soldier, Lance Cpl. Brandon Thornton, an 18-year-old reservist called to duty in the 3rd Battalion, 23rd Marine Division, which is now guarding prisoners in Iraq. Hunt...

Just got back from the Dallas Pro-America rally. I could only stay for an hour or so, and I live about half a mile away, so I figured I'd get it started. Sorry I don't have a digital camera, but there were lots of cameras there, so I'm sure you'll see plenty of pics later. There was a constant rain and chilly temps, which I was afraid would keep the crowd down, but it didn't. HUGE turnout, including Freepers, moms with strollers, Texas Guardsmen, Kurdish immigrants, you name it. The rain didn't dampen the spirits; I could hear the shouting, cheers,...

Greetings from Carbondale, Illinois, home of Southern Illinois University. I would like to report an excellent experience today. As expected, there was an anti-war, anti-America protest on the main drag of this university town. Perhaps less expected was the large turnout on the opposite side of the street, literally and figuratively. The patchouli and hippie contingent were their usual drum-banging, bug dancing selves shouting their slogans of "No blood for oil" and "War is the problem, not the answer." On the other side of the street where I stood, USA sign in hand, was a growing crowd of surprising diversity....

Dahlonega, Georgia is located just over one hour north of Atlanta in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, a part of the Appalachian Mountain range. The town is rich with history having once been a gold mining town and is the home of North Georgia College which has a military program. Today there was a Pro America "Support Our Troops" rally held on the town square with around 200 or more people in attendance. There were a handful of speakers mostly Veterans talking about how badly the "Flower Children" had treated them in the 60's and asked the ones...

Thank you to all that showed up to show your support today, I was blown away by the turnout! We had a good mix of people out there today. The people driving through loved it! The Anti-war folks didnt care too much for us, funny how we are all smiles and they have dour faces all day long. They look like the living dead don't they? Anyhow this is not the first one and will not be the last, we do this every Saturday, I would like to try a couple more locations at some point. If you folks do...

Haven't seen it posted, but I was there, so I'll do it. Glenn Beck's Rally For America was held in Auburn today, and the giant hall was overflowing with proud Americans. Sandy Patti sang chilling renditions of the National Anthem and other patriotic songs, while Beck closed with a great tear-inducing speech. G.B. needed 15,000 more to show up at this weekend's 3 rallies to hit a total of 100,000 in the last few weeks. He announced 17,000 were present. Local radio station WOWO estimated 20,000! CNN (which Glenn said on stage "blows") estimated 9,000 on Headline news a few...
