This will be bittersweet news for a lot of people. A five-judge panel has ruled that Pennsylvania’s universal mail-in voting law violates the state’s constitution, an argument conservatives have been making since it was enacted in 2019. That election law went on to play a pivotal role in delivering the state for Joe Biden in 2020, who trailed on Election Night, but pulled ahead as more and more mail-in votes were counted.BREAKING: Pennsylvania court finds universal mail-in voting Act 77 unconstitutional— Release The Poso (@JackPosobiec) January 28, 2022The court’s decision essentially made the case that any law to make mail-in...

(WHTM) – The Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania has found the commonwealth’s no-excuse mail-in voting law, Act 77, is unconstitutional. According to court documents, 14 members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives filed a petition to block the 2019 law that would allow any qualified voter to vote by mail. The law allowed voters to submit a ballot by mail up to 50 days before an election and placed voters on a list to permanently receive a ballot application by mail. It also established 15 more days to register to vote and extended amil=in and absentee submission deadlines. Act 77 also outlined...

President Joe Biden called for widespread vote-by-mail and ballot drop boxes across the country, claiming that Republicans were “subverting democracy” with new voting integrity laws to block them. The laws passed in March and signed by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp added stricter ID requirements to obtain an absentee ballot and limited ballot drop boxes. The laws also make it illegal to mass-mail absentee ballots to all voters.

Some states expand use of mail-in ballots—while others are limiting their use over security concerns.. After the unprecedented expansion of mail-in voting in the 2020 election, dozens of states changed their mail-in voting rules. Republican-leaning states tended to introduce measures to make voting more secure, but less convenient. Democrat-leaning states were more likely on the opposite track. At least 36 states passed bills pertaining in some way to mail-in voting, according to the left-leaning Voting Rights Lab. Much of the change pertained to issues arising out of the 2020 election, where many states relaxed rules on absentee voting using the...

We are just a year away from critical mid-term elections. Finding a path to ensuring election integrity is a must to build trust in any result. But, unfortunately, any attempt to do so risks headlines like the following: "A damaging blow to voting rights." "Restrictive voting laws new Jim Crow." "The Supreme Court Kills the Voting Rights Act." Such headlines dominate mainstream liberal coverage whenever voting is in any way restricted. In our crazy COVID world, Democrats seem comfortable with mail-in ballots flying everywhere forever, last-minute voter registration, extended early and late voting, and the elimination of voter ID. It's...

The Democrat Party filed in court to demand mail-in voting laws that will ensure Democrats can steal all elections for the foreseeable future. Governor Wolf signed emergency legislation into law without the approval of the state leglislature in 2020 for mail-in voting. Republicans were not able to overturn this in the courts. So on Friday, the Democrats announced they will hold mail-in voting in the state from now on. They pretend this is for voting rights. We all know this is so they can steal all future elections. And, of course, the Republican Party is nowhere to be found. The...

President Biden's Justice Department warned states on Wednesday that they could face legal action in rolling back COVID-era voting procedures. "The department's enforcement policy does not consider a jurisdiction’s re-adoption of prior voting laws or procedures to be presumptively lawful; instead, the department will review a jurisdiction’s changes in voting laws or procedures for compliance with all federal laws regarding elections, as the facts and circumstances warrant," reads a document released by DOJ. It proceeds to outline a long list of statutory protections on voting rights, including those surrounding mail-in voting.

The 2020 presidential election was historic in many ways. Amid a global pandemic, with unprecedented changes in how Americans voted, voter turnout rose 7 percentage points over 2016, resulting in a total of 66% of U.S. adult citizens casting a ballot in the 2020 election. Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump 306-232 in the Electoral College and had a 4-point margin in the popular vote. While Biden’s popular vote differential was an improvement over Hillary Clinton’s 2016 2-point advantage, it was not as resounding as congressional Democrats’ 9-point advantage over Republicans in votes cast in the 2018 elections for the U.S....

The purpose of this thread is to list the states with automatic voter registration, mostly by getting driver's licenses, but also through other means such as applying for social service. And combine that with sanctuary states, counties and cities. Counting ballots and making sure all voters are registered doesn't help solve the problem of illegals voting. Article follows: Automatic Voter Registration This webpage addresses automatic—or automated—voter registration, a process that generally involves the state department of motor vehicles and possibly other state agencies. In 1993, Congress passed the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA). The NVRA pioneered a new way of...

The ruling class did everything in their power to make sure what happened in 2016 — a Donald Trump election victory — would never happen again in 2020.If questioning the results of a presidential election were a crime, as many have asserted in the wake of the controversial 2020 election and its aftermath, nearly the entire Democratic Party and media establishment would have been incarcerated for their rhetoric following the 2016 election. In fact, the last time they accepted the legitimacy of a presidential election they lost was in 1988. After the 2000 election, which hinged on the results of...

Executive order requires agencies to boost registration efforts President Joe Biden put controversial former national security adviser Susan Rice in charge of directing hundreds of federal agencies and departments to expand access to mail-in voting. Biden signed an executive order in March that put Rice, now the assistant to the president for domestic policy, in charge of soliciting strategies from federal agencies to produce "relevant information" on expanded voting registration procedures. Federal agencies must submit to Rice "a strategic plan outlining the ways identified under this review that the agency can promote voter registration and voter participation" within 200 days...

Remember when tech titan Amazon supported the Democrats’ push for mail-in voting for the 2020 election? After all, the pandemic was raging and voters shouldn’t be forced to risk their lives in order to cast their vote. Well, that was then and this is now. It appears the e-commerce juggernaut’s enthusiasm for the practice has cooled now that unionization is on the ballot. In a stunning reversal, The Washington Post’s Jay Greene reports that Amazon is appealing the National Labor Relation Board’s ruling to “allow roughly 6,000 workers to take seven weeks, starting Feb. 8, to cast their ballots by...

Time magazine's article intones the 'Trump is crazy' mantra over his claims of a 'rigged' election while telling anyone who reads it how powerful people conspired to rig the 2020 election.Time magazine's article intones the 'Trump is crazy' mantra over his claims of a 'rigged' election while telling anyone who reads it how powerful people conspired to rig the 2020 election. Corporate media has spent the last year arguing that Donald Trump’s claims about 2020 election integrity amount to “seditious” conspiracy theories. While maintaining that narrative despite the cognitive dissonance, Time magazine’s Feb. 15 cover story pulls back the curtain...

Now that Joe Biden has been sworn in as the 46th president, Democrats and the corporate press have turned their attention back to Donald Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate, which will likely begin next month.Senate Democrats will need 17 Republicans to join them in order to convict Trump on the single impeachment charge of “willful incitement of insurrection.” Although Democrats might get a few GOP members like Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Sen. Mitt Romney to join them, it’s unlikely they’ll get many more. That would mean Trump’s second impeachment ends up like his first: a pointless exercise in...

The best way to secure public trust in the outcomes of our elections is to ensure that our elections are trustworthy. Right now, they’re not.On Wednesday, a dozen Republican senators along with more than half the Republican members of the House will raise a formal objection to Joe Biden electors during the Electoral College count certification. They will object over concerns about election integrity following widespread allegations of voter fraud, reports of irregularities in the counting of absentee ballots, and documented violations of election law in several battleground states. The corporate media have with one voice denounced these Republicans and dismissed...

I suppose it’s the prerogative of opinion writers to twist the facts to advance their narratives, but that’s not what fact-checkers are supposed to do.Fact-checking the fact-checkers ought to be a full-time job. It never ceases to amaze and appall how these pretend nonpartisans can take entirely true statements that threaten the mainstream media’s narrative and twist them so far as to make them appear false. Over the weekend, Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler gave “three Pinocchios” to an assertion President Trump made during his speech last week about the presidential election, based on a report published by my think...
