The Royal Mail got a good licking for planning to release a stamp marking the 75th anniversary of D-Day by using an image of US forces landing about 8,500 miles from Normandy Beach, according to a report. Captioned “Allied soldiers and medics wade ashore,” the stamp was meant to depict the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944, in France — but was actually taken in Dutch New Guinea in what is modern-day Indonesia, according to the BBC. The stamp — which was expected to be released next year in a “Best of British” collection — sparked a backlash on social...

Gun laws “You will get gun reform when the public says they’ve had enough. Until they’ve said enough, it’s not going to happen. ... There’s going to come a point where people say enough of this.” Constitutional amendments He would support a GOP measure to make changes more difficult “only if they come with the idea of making it easier to get on the ballot with the (initiated statute). “If it’s not, I think we should reject it, because the public needs to be heard. I’d rather this (trivial) stuff doesn’t go into the constitution, but if you don’t give...

The fake news of the day has been disingenuously pretending that any those persons to whom the fake bombs were addressed were in any danger. They were not. Who sends bombs to people who do not open their own mail? As Roger L. Simon wrote, it doesn't matter who built those little fake not-pipe bombs, the intent is clear. The message? See, it isn't only the left that is vicious and violent. The right is violent too! Whoever is guilty of perpetrating this latest stunt is irrelevant; their intent is obvious. Demonstrate that there are lunatics on the right too!...

Jersey voters, take note. There's a big change in the state's voting laws that you'll need to pay attention to under a measure signed by Gov. Phil Murphy designed to expand voter participation. Critics say the new law is sparking voter confusion. And county clerks say it's forced them to scramble to comb voting rolls to meet its requirements on short notice. The big change is about mail-in ballots. You have always had the option of mailing in your ballot. You could get a ballot if you applied for one by the deadline, then mailed it in or dropped it...

I repeat: They take pictures of our mail. There is no privacy. Ever. Everything is documented. Everything. We continue the march to becoming the least free country in the history of man
