Live Earth a Resounding Success! Although few people actually watched the series of concerts staged on seven continents, temperatures dramatically dropped across the globe during the all-day events. Al Gore, renowned climatologist, reported, "Madonna's set had the largest effect on the climate, as released skank particulates tend to shield some of the sun's harmful rays. During her last song it snowed." The father of hybrid car racer Al Gore III went on to say, "With a thousand Madonnas we could save the planet." We can only dream.... Al Gore did a little marketing in Turkey Tuesday for the Live Earth concert to be held at the Seven Towers Fortress this summer. Joining the former U.S. vice president for the news conference were representatives from World Wide Fund for Nature Turkey, The Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion, Reforestation and the Protection of Natural Habitats, according to a Live Earth news release. Global organizer Kevin Wall founded the Live Earth concert series, which will bring together more than 100 of the world's top acts to play to more than 2 billion people. "Music is an international language that...

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - Bob Geldof, who organized the Live Aid and Live 8 benefit concerts, criticized the Live Earth music events Al Gore is putting together this summer, saying they lack a specific goal, according to a Dutch newspaper report Saturday. The Live Earth concerts will be held in cities around the world on July 7, with proceeds funding a yet-to-be-named foundation to combat climate change, under Gore's direction. The shows will take place in London; New York; Tokyo; Shanghai, China; Johannesburg, South Africa; Sydney, Australia; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Organizers have also promised an event in Antarctica. "I...

Live Earth has been branded a foul-mouthed flop. Organisers of the global music concert - punctuated by swearing from presenters and performers - had predicted massive viewing figures. But BBC's live afternoon television coverage attracted an average British audience of just 900,000. In the evening, when coverage switched from BBC2 to BBC1, the figure rose to just 2.7 million. And the peak audience, which came when Madonna sang at Wembley, was a dismal 4.5 million. Three times as many viewers saw the Princess Diana tribute on the same channel six days before. Two years ago, Live 8 drew a peak...

The Gospel of Gore By Amanda Carpenter Monday, July 9, 2007 If Al Gore wore a high-collared black suit instead of a polo shirt and jeans to the Washington, D.C. Live Earth concert, he might have been mistaken for a preacher. He gave a brief sermon Saturday, July 7 on global warming with a solemn opening. “Today we are gathered on all seven continents and eight giant concerts and in 10,000 other gatherings, many as large as this one, two billion people, we are gathered, with one message.” He then asked those congregated on the National Mall to commit themselves...

On 7-7-07, The Call took place in Nashville, TN. There was an almost total media blackout in the MSM- an AP story ran on some minor news portals, and local TV stations in Nashville covered it. However, Titans stadium was filled to overflow capacity as crowds of fasting worshippers encountered God in a corporate act of devotion to His Kingdom.video hereand hereand a TV news report- over 100,000 attended.Meanwhile, the organizers of Live Earth are embarrassed at their low turnout and lack of interest- blaming it on 'climate change'!

Twenty-four hours, seven continents, 150 bands and 2 billion viewers. Global warming is a big problem that needs big solutions. Live Earth was the big concert intended to raise awareness. But is pop music really a solution? Skeptics doubt it. Said one: "Everybody's known about that problem for years. ... I would only organize this if I could get onstage and announce concrete environmental measures from the American presidential candidates, Congress or major corporations. They haven't got those guarantees. So it's just an enormous pop concert." The source of that quote: Bob Geldof, organizer of Live Aid and Live 8....

The fantasy title of this DUmmie THREAD, "The revolution has begun. We just hit the tipping point," could have been written by the Left DOZENS of times in the past 40 years. With every little "crises," hope sprung eternal in beating leftwing hearts that NOW was FINALLY the time when the Bolshevik Revolution would begin. Until Scooter Libby received a commutation on his prison sentence, his "confessions" would spark the revolution. Then there was Jeff Gannon who induced massive DUmmie orgasms that a scandal involving him would bring the revolution. Oh, and let's not forget the Downing Street Memos...

Live Earth's TV ratings might have been dismal, and the extravangza took heat for the liberal use of profanity by its performers. But at least the concert series served some purpose: providing comedic fodder for today's "Morning Joe." Host Joe Scarborough and sidekick John Ridley had considerable fun at the expense of Ann Curry, a host of NBC's coverage of the event, whose interview of Al Gore gave new meaning to "touchy-feely."At about 6:45 A.M. EDT this morning, the MSNBC show rolled clips from the Curry-Gore interview in which Curry repeatedly grabbed Gore's arm and ended with a manic hand-pump.View...

Officials at LIVE EARTH Johannesburg have blamed the effects of climate change for poor audience attendance at Saturday's (07Jul07) South African event. Organiser John Langford believes extremely cold weather in the region - it snowed last week (ends06Jul07) for the first time in a quarter of a century kept people away from the concert, which starred Joss Stone, UB40, Angelique Kidjo and Baaba Maal.

Metallica singer James Hetfield was investigated by UK airport officials who believed he was a terrorist this week, it has been claimed. The star was barred entry to Luton airport on Thursday and questioned by staff who were concerned about his appearance. Fears that Hetfield might be involved in terrorism were apparently founded on his "Taliban-like beard", according to The Times. He was allowed to leave the airport after a brief interrogation, when he persuaded officials that he was a rock star. Metallica play Live Earth at Wembley Stadium in London tomorrow, before headlining the venue for their own show...

"In 1985, led by Tipper Gore, the Parents Music Resource Center compiled a list of offensive rock songs - the so-called “filthy fifteen." The PMRC then sent the list to music industry execs, demanding both a rating system for lyrics and the application of warning labels - deemed “Tipper Stickers” by some - on albums." Now Al contracts with one of the so-called "filthy fifteen" to headline his Live Earth event!

LONDON, July 7 -- "If you want to save the planet, I want you to start jumping up and down!" Thus Madonna revealed her plan to combat global warming. Clad in a black satin leotard, she gyrated with dancers and simulated sex with an amplifier and a guitar. Along with the Foo Fighters, the 48-year-old Queen of Pop transformed a Live Earth concert that at times had seemed earnest and slow . . . It's an inconvenient truth, but mixing rock with recycling is awkward. In a TV interview earlier this week, Matt Bellamy of the band Muse mocked the...

Al Gore is both leading the fight against climate change and coming back from political oblivion ONCE he was the nearly man of American politics, but this weekend Al Gore, Bill Clinton’s former sidekick, made it clear he was back, no longer just a politician but a phenomenon: the first global green celebrity. As the Live Earth concerts rolled out around the globe, each blessed with Gore’s presence, either live or on giant screens, it became clear that the failed presidential candidate has metamorphosed into a prophet. In an interview with The Sunday Times before yesterday’s Live Earth concert at...
