In the latest revelation sure to reignite accusations of collusion between the Clinton campaign and the DOJ, among the recent batch of hacked emails released by Wikileaks, we learn that the day after Hillary Clinton testified in front of the House Select Committee on Benghazi last October, John Podesta, Hillary's campaign chairman met for dinner with a small group of well-connected friends, including Peter Kadzik, who is currently a top official at the US Justice Department serving as Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs. Podesta and Kadzik met several months later for dinner at Podesta’s home, another email shows. Another...

I was thinking about how the Dims like to refer to some of their past presidents by their initials rather than names, such as LBJ, JFK and FDR. Suddenly I realized why they won't do this with Clinton. His initials would be BJC! I wish I'd have thought of this 20 yrs ago, but it is not too late. We can start referring to Hillery as MRS. BJC!

Michael Isikoff, the left-wing journalist most famous for getting scooped on The Story of the Decade by Matt Drudge, is exiting NBC News ... It was during his time with Newsweek that Isikoff became yet-another icon of a mainstream media more interested in protecting power than holding power accountable. In 1998, Isikoff had uncovered the affair between then-President Bill Clinton and a young intern named Monica Lewinski. Newsweek, however, refused to publish the story. So Drudge did -- not the story but the news that Newsweek was refusing to explode its own bombshell... -- and an era in New Media...

Hillary Rodham Clinton's new book on her time as President Barack Obama's secretary of state will be released on June 10, her publisher says. Publisher Simon & Schuster said Wednesday that Clinton would share "candid reflections about key moments during her time as Secretary of State as well as her thoughts about how to navigate the challenges of the 21st century." Clinton's book has been widely anticipated as she considers another presidential campaign in 2016. The former first lady and New York senator is already a best-selling author: Her 2003 memoir, "Living History," sold more than 1 million copies.

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Candidate for California governor Jerry Brown apologized Monday for taking a swipe at fellow Democrat and former President Bill Clinton over his relationship with Monica Lewinsky. The move came a day after Brown said his Republican rival Meg Whitman had used Clinton footage from the 1992 Democratic presidential primary to lie about Brown in a current campaign attack ad. In response to the ad, Brown took a jab at Clinton.

GM wants to sell Hummer. It needs the money. Sichuan Tengzhong, a heavy equipment firm based in China, looked like a ready buyer. GM would like to find an acquirer that would save most of the unit’s jobs. Sichuan Tengzhong seemed to fit that bill. Now it appears that the Chinese government has killed any chance of a transaction. According to the AP, it is because the equipment company “lacks expertise to run Hummer.” The news is a strong indication that China wants to push its companies to expand abroad, particularly if they can buy depressed assets at fire sale...

Former chief White House political advisor Dick Morris revealed Tuesday that his former boss Bill Clinton cared so little about global terrorism that his own Assistant Secretary of State had trouble getting him to pay attention to a bomb threat against the Khobar Towers Air Force barracks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. "In 1996, I got a phone call from Dick Holbrooke," Morris told WABC Radio's Sean Hannity. "He said, 'We're getting hard intelligence that terrorists are planning another hit on our guys in Riyadh.... They're in the exact same building they were in when it was hit last time.'" In ...

HOUSTON -- Some parents in Fort Bend County are outraged after their children said they witnessed a pair of eighth-graders engaged in a sex act, right in the middle of class. Parents told KPRC Local 2 that they received the unsettling news about an incident at Crockett Middle School in a letter that went home on Friday. "My mouth flew open when you told me just a few minutes ago," Lubergha Munson said. "I didn't expect you to say anything like that. I thought you were going to say they were fighting or something." The principal sent letters home with...

DES MOINES — Bill Clinton plunged back into the presidential campaign fray Monday in the role of doting spouse, telling thousands of Democratic supporters here that his wife is better qualified to be president than he was when he first ran for the job. "I'd be here tonight if she asked me, even if we weren't married," he said. Introducing Hillary Clinton at the state fairgrounds, the ex-president, who has stayed largely outside public view in the early phase of the campaign, sought to dispel perceptions that his wife is a tough person to like. He stood behind her as...

In a combative interview on “Fox News Sunday,” former President Clinton defended his handling of the threat posed by Osama bin Laden, saying he would’ve gotten bin Laden if he hadn’t been distracted by attacks from the vast rightwing conspiracy. “I spent many long hours groping for an answer to the terrorist threat, but my political enemies hounded me with flimsy allegations of illicit affairs and perjury,” Clinton complained. “I bombed some places—Africa and some others, I’m pretty sure. I shot down Iraqi planes. I denounced Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction. I mentored Ms. Lewinski. What more could I have...

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, once a critic of the GOP-led impeachment of former President Bill Clinton, has nominated one of the top Clinton prosecutors to the Orange County Superior Court bench. Former GOP Rep. Jim Rogan, who was born and raised in San Francisco's Mission District and represented Glendale (Los Angeles County) in the House for four years, splashed onto the national scene as one of the congressional managers -- i.e., prosecutors -- in the Clinton impeachment. At the time, he called the perjury and obstruction-of-justice charges against Clinton a "slam dunk." Instead, Rogan was the one who got dunked when...

The documents seized in the FBI raid on the offices of Rep. William Jefferson (D-LA) remain unread by Justice Department investigators, pending a federal Appeals Court ruling scheduled for August 27. Jefferson is anxious to overturn the ruling of federal Judge Hogan of the Washington, DC federal District Court, who allowed the raid. One can only surmise that the seized documents contain material even more embarrassing than the discovery of $90,000 in cash in Jefferson’s freezer. But we already know a bit about the charges and some of the alleged partners of Congressman Jefferson. Two people have pleaded guilty to...

HARTFORD, Conn. -- The state Board of Education stepped in Wednesday to defend a law that prohibits teachers from having sex with students. The board voted unanimously to ask state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal to file a legal brief on its behalf opposing a court challenge by a New Haven teacher convicted of having sex with two students, ages 16 and 17. The case, which is before the state Supreme Court, questions the constitutionality of a state law that bans teachers from sexual contact with students even if they are older than the age of consent, which is 16. The...

This is just a reminder to all FReepers that we should do whatever we can to support Kathleen Willey and Juanita Broaddrick as they visit the Clinton Library this upcoming Wednesday, Oct. 26th, at 10:00 AM Central. Attorney Candice E. Jackson is accompanying them on the tour (she's a friend of mine) and she said they will all be arriving at the Clinton Library that morning, touring its exhibits to see for themselves what they show, and then briefly speaking with the media about the omissions from the Library and the Clintons' true legacy. * If you live in the...
