Former Letcher County, Kentucky Sheriff Shawn “Mickey” Stines allegedly shot and killed former Kentucky 47th Judicial District Judge Kevin Mullins on Sept. 19, 2024. Ocean City police say they are investigating several cases where fake currency has been passed at local businesses in the last few days. Police say the first case occurred on May 19 in which three counterfeit $50 bills were discovered by a local merchant.
