AP worked hard to leave out something very important but very basic in an article about Democratic US Representative William Jefferson’s 16-count bribery indictment. What the AP left out was any identification of Jefferson’s party affiliation. In almost 30 paragraphs, no where is there any hint of what party Jefferson belongs to, not even a “(D-LA).” When a politician is in trouble and the party is not identified, it a safe bet to assume that the missing letter is a Big “D,” as in this AP piece. How were other politicians identified? Nancy Pelosi is identified as “Pelosi, D-Calif.” John...

WASHINGTON (Talon News) -- In 1996, Jim Jordan, campaign manager for Democrat presidential contender Sen. John Kerry (D-MA), was press secretary for Tim Johnson during his challenge to then-incumbent Sen. Larry Pressler (R-SD). The long, negative campaign resulted in the end of the South Dakota Republican's 22 years in Congress. During the campaign, Pressler was dogged by questions about his health, since his father suffered with Alzheimer's disease. But the most damaging attack was delivered by James Abourezk, the man Pressler replaced in the Senate in 1978. Abourezk brought Alexander Cockburn, author of "Washington Babylon" to speak to a Sioux...
  • Ridge wishes terror tip had been kept quiet

An unsubstantiated tip that terrorists planned to attack Boston earlier this month should not have been made public, Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge said Friday. The warning — which turned out to be bogus — led to a public alert, increased security in Boston and prompted Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney to skip President Bush's inauguration. It reflected a breakdown in the United States' still-developing intelligence-sharing system that was put in place after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. "This was information shared with our partners, and some of them viewed it as a need to take action on it," Ridge...
  • ABC Admits Reporters Target Republicans

If you're wondering why the media establishment screams long and hard when Republicans say something politically incorrect but virtually ignores the disgraceful rantings of Sen. Patty "Osama Mama" Murray, Rep. Charlie Rangel, Rep. Marcy Kaptur, Rep. Jim Moran, Sen. Robert "KKK" Byrd and so on, ABC has a confession to make. Yes, this is the same ABC that pays millions of dollars to its anti-American foreign anchorman, Peter Jennings, so he can drive millions of viewers away to cable news. (For a look at Jennings' astonishingly biased coverage of Operation Iraqi Freedom, check out Media Research Center.) Here's a fascinating...
  • Associated(With Liberals)Press: "You could call week of April 20 Santorum Resignation Week at AP"

Associated (With Liberals) Press by L. Brent Bozell III April 29, 2003 It was a perfectly absurd moment. Patrick Guerrierro, the new head of the gay-left Log Cabin Republicans, sat on a sedate Saturday morning C-SPAN set and declared it was a shame that Sen. Rick Santorum distracted us all from the Iraq war with his hurtful comments on homosexuality. This was not just absurd because the Log Cabin Republicans did everything but throw balloons of blood at Santorum to get the story humming -- in alliance with the Human Rights Campaign and other gay-left intimidators. It was absurd because...

News that Sen. John Kerry's presidential campaign manager just happens to be married to the reporter whose interview of Sen. Rick Santorum created the political firestorm of the week hasn't gotten much mainstream press attention. The word on reporter Lara Jakes Jordan, whose decision to insert the word "[gay]" into Santorum's comments made it appear that he was gay bashing, is that she recently married Kerry campaign chief Jim Jordan. Coincidentally [of course], Sen. Kerry just happened to be among the first to slam Santorum over the remark, a comment so innocuous it likely would have gone completely unnoticed except...

' 'According to Fox News, Lara Jakes Jordan, the wire service reporter who wrote the original story, is married to veteran Democrat operative Jim Jordan, the former executive director of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and manager of Kerry's presidential bid. The Massachusetts Democrat was among the first to criticize Santorum's remarks Tuesday, using it as an opportunity to attack the White House. ' '
