When the bombs began to fall in the Middle East, the Daily Kos had a problem. And the Daily Kos's problem could soon be the Democratic party's problem. On the one hand, one of the most solid blocks of support for the Democratic party is America's Jewish community. Not only do America's Jews tend to vote for Democrats, they tend to actively campaign and raise funds for politicians on the left. But for many American Jews, even the most liberal, Israel's welfare is a going concern. Politicians who enter the Democratic party (and for that matter the Republican party) usually...

Take a look at the photo of Congressperson Cynthia McKinney above. Obviously the source of that picture must be some vicious hate-filled right-wing website that dislikes the "progressive" policies of Ms Mckinney, right? Wrong. The source for that picture is none other than the Daily Kos. You read that correctly. This picture is part of an ad by McKinney's primary opponent, Hank Johnson, that is figured PROMINENTLY at the top of the list of Daily Kos advertisers. I should have had a hint of this latest Kos Blogola scandal yesterday when I did a search on the Daily Kos...

I was doing a search yesterday on the Daily Kos site to see what was being posted about Cynthia McKinney and her claims of vote fraud that caused her to be forced into a runoff election in her primary. Surprisingly I found NOTHING there on this topic. I couldn't figure it out. McKinney is EXACTLY the type of Congressperson that the KOs KOmmies whole-heartedly support. Well, today I found the answer to my question as to why no McKinney info on Kos. It is called Blogola. I saw the pic below of McKinney on their WEBSITE at the top of...

Leopold (left) and Johnson. The Jason Leopold sock puppet scandal continues to expand as Seixon, the blogger at the center of the scandal has received a death threat and a threatening email telling him to stop exposing the nutjobs pushing the Valerie Plame scandal.Since I last updated NB readers on this story (you really need the post to understand this one), Leopold or a minion posted more of Sexion's personal information as well as his parents' address and his mother's name late night on his blog and at Ace of Spades, ensuring it would remain overnight.Sexion then received an...

Jason Leopold If there ever were a contest for the most deranged left-wing journalist, the guy with the biggest head start would have to be Jason Leopold, the fabulist most recently embarrassed for his phony report that White House aide Karl Rove had been indicted May 12. Since his journalism was exposed as fraudulent, he's been on a tear lashing out at anyone daring to question him. But Leopold hasn't stopped there. Most recently, he's been involved in complicated sock puppet scandal, posting comments defending himself under pseudonyms on various blogs, disclosing others' private information, and hurling around accusations...

1. It sparks unusually vicious comment threads. 2. The fight between Israel and the Palestinians is over half a century old... 3.The conflict is fantastically complex... 4. punditry is heavily dominated by extremists on both sides. 5. posts that display any sense of sympathy for the Palestinians run the risk of provoking a storm of accusations of anti-semitism 6. It doesn't matter what we bloggers say. 7. It doesn't matter what the President of the United States says. Or the United Nations. 8. When two sides are this dead-set on killing each other, very little can get in the way....

Israel’s battle against Hizballah and Hamas continues to bring out the antisemites at Daily Kos: The case against Zionism, a historical perspective part 1. The writer of this diary congratulates him/her/itself for criticizing Israel without being antisemitic—yet the entire purpose of this semi-literate diatribe is to question Israel’s right to exist. Quote : "I have decided to write this essay because I have noticed a general lack of understanding of the the history of the conflict on this board. This writing is intended to showcase where the philosophy of zionism conflicts with my own philsophy on morality(which I believe almost...

Missing in action. First a bit of background. The so-called Netroots Left, led by Markos Moulitsas of the popular Daily Kos, wants to be a player in American politics. As a test case, the Kossacks are throwing their weight behind political newcomer Ned Lamont in Lamont’s attempt to unseat Joe Lieberman in Connecticut’s Aug. 8 primary. Best guess is that Lamont will pick off Lieberman. If so, the Kossacks can notch one on their belts. A larger test for the Kossacks and the Netroots Left--which also includes Arianna Huffington and her collection of Hollywood elites and Gary Hart retreads over...

More blatant antisemitism at Daily Kos: Imagine a world without Israel. (Hat tip: LGF readers.) ************************************ Or is that not allowed? Muslims, Jews, and Christians could live in peace without fear of mutual destruction. There would be no more need for US AID or justification for Dimona. We could bring down the Wall, send prisoners home, and families could be reunited. We could dismantle checkpoints, open crossings, and pull down barbed wire fences. There would be no more settlements or armed settlers because the people would be united. We could replant trees and olive groves and rebuild battered cities. No...

It appears that the post-Yearly Kos month from hell is continuing for Markos Moulitsas Zuniga, the proprietor of the Internet's premier liberal blog Daily Kos. After receiving some extremely negative press from major publications such as the New York Times, The New Republic, and Newsweek immediately following his seemingly successful bloggers' convention in Las Vegas, Kos is now faced with an even greater challenge: dissension within his ranks. Such internal squabbling comes at the same time that many prominent Democrats seem to be privately expressing concern about the direction the "netroots" - the self-described Internet grassroots movement of liberal bloggers...

David Brooks of the New York Times has been on a quite an anti-liberal blogosphere roll of late. After eviscerating Markos Moulitsas Zuniga – the proprietor of the Daily Kos – in a June 25 op-ed entitled “Respect Must be Paid For,” Brooks again ripped into Kos on Friday night’s “The News Hour” on PBS (video link courtesy of Crooks and Liars). Brooks followed this up with another op-ed tangentially on this subject Sunday. On Friday evening, the discussion between host Jim Lehrer, Mark Shields, and Brooks centered around Joe Lieberman’s problems in Connecticut. Lehrer asked Brooks how Lieberman is...

Proponents of Network Neutrality have been relentless at highlighting individual Congress members' failings to protect Internet freedom. Senators John McCain and Ted Stevens have felt the heat in past weeks. This week, the heat is on Virginia Senator George Allen, who MoveOn.org believes tried to pull a fast one on his website. For the record, Allen voted against the Snowe-Dorgan amendment, which was expressly worded to prevent Internet service providers from setting up a two-tiered system that could be easily abused and made into a system of Internet toll roads. Opposition to that type of system is what, at...

It´s the sort of thing that makes you hate the Internet. On June 21 New Republic senior editor Jason Zengerle posted on the magazine´s website portions of a message Markos Moulitsas Zuniga, the founder and public face of popular liberal blog dailykos.com, sent to a private e-mail list. Zengerle said the message, which primarily concerned Moulitsas´ request that his fellow bloggers refrain from writing about Securities and Exchange Commission allegations against blogger-turned-online-political-consultant Jerome Armstrong, showed that Moulitsas issued orders that other liberal bloggers dutifully followed. In an entry titled, ¨The Blogosphere´s Smoke-Filled Backroom,¨ Zengerle accused liberal bloggers of displaying ¨a...

Okay, I'll admit it. I'm a sadist. Sometimes I like to wander over to Daily Kos and Democratic Underground and see what the wacky liberals are saying. As you know, America, the greatest country on God's green earth, will celebrate its 230th birthday tomorrow. And here's what liberals have to say about it today. I believe it's against FR policy to direct links to DU and Kos, but I've cut and paste these quotes without any editing. DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND "America, America, God shed His grace on thee...what a ridiculous song" - Philosoraptor "the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in...

Markos Moulitsas Zuniga is sitting on his back porch in Berkeley, Calif., listening to the hummingbirds and explaining his plans to seize control of the Democratic Party.

OF all the political bloggers in America, Markos Moulitsas Zuniga, creator of the left-wing website the Daily Kos, is perhaps the most powerful. Famous for dishing out criticism, he is now under attack himself, accused of being an election loser who bestows favours on his flatterers. Like the film-maker Michael Moore, of Fahrenheit 9/11 fame, the prolific and acerbic California blogger thrills his fans but causes moderate Democrats to worry that he could jeopardise the party’s hopes of winning power. With more than 0.5m hits a day, Moulitsas’s no-holds-barred website has become essential reading for the growing “netroots” army of...

One look at you tells me all I need to know about you. I am so tired of liberals that think they are so brilliant. You are such a stupid jackass. You are so stupid you probably believe that the Bush administration orchestrated the attacks on 9/11. Every time you go on the internet, every time you make a bank transaction, or pay a bill, every time you try to email a congressman or senator they are getting so much information off of you. Of course it is all a conspiracy by the Bush administration. I have screwed around by...

First off, I've probably dug into the recent Kos controversy as much or more than anyone else. I can't see that Marcos Moulitsas has done anything wrong, other than perhaps a knee jerk response to the criticism. So, he has little to do with this post. The Netroots movement will fail because it's a myth based upon a lie sitting upon a foundation of fragmented political thought. The genesis for the Netroots movement stems from a fixation on, first the stockmarket, then astrology, and it only found politics, probably, when it was barred from engaging in a previous financial fascination...
