Israels battle against Hizballah and Hamas continues to bring out the antisemites at Daily Kos: The case against Zionism, a historical perspective part 1.
The writer of this diary congratulates him/her/itself for criticizing Israel without being antisemiticyet the entire purpose of this semi-literate diatribe is to question Israels right to exist.
Quote :
"I have decided to write this essay because I have noticed a general lack of understanding of the the history of the conflict on this board.
This writing is intended to showcase where the philosophy of zionism conflicts with my own philsophy on morality(which I believe almost all posters on this board share), not as an angry diatribe against those who are pro Israel.
I realize that reading an essay about anti-zionism is difficult for americans of jewish descent.
I respect your emotional reaction to defend Israel, who are a tiny minority among the worlds population.
All I ask is that you try to see things from the other point of view. My goal ...to show that the cycle of opressed becoming the opressor solves nothing, except repition of conflict."

This has all been a clever ruse by Karl Rove, to boost the political fortunes of stealth Republican Joe Lieberman over his democrat rival.
Clever, that Karl.
Kos & DU are totally morally blind .
I hope American Jews take note of whose side these leftist idiots are on. You can't trust the political Left.
A lot of people who post over there must be young or simply are ignorant as they have almost no historically perspectives from which they made judgments.
If all you read is left wing propaganda and pablum from universities studies no wonder they are morons
"My goal in this essay is not to antogonize or to blame...
yeah , sure ..."
I have heard the rationales, but American Jews should not be liberals.
I think the problem with DU is that they don't know how to analyze facts. They just shoot from the hip. And if Bush stays in bed, they curse him; if he gets up, they curse him.
Yes, leftist Kos & DU anti-Semitism is directly connected to their dedication to anti-Americanism and anti-capitalism. It is an anti-Semitic culture because it desperately and pathologically blames Israel for all their problems. They are Stalinist.
Hey, that's swell! That must mean that there's no point in Hezbollah or Hamas becoming the oppressor, right? Uh, no? No, I guess not.
Anyone who purports to look at this with moral certitude and still can support people who deliberately butcher schoolchildren with ball-bearing bombs is not dealing with a full deck.
Lets not even talk about the cycle of bad spelling.
at least the "KOS-mo-nuts" are consistent ... they can't think and they sure can't spell ...
Not only that, but there is a deep psychosis over there called "Bush Derangement Syndrome" that makes every fact subject to being manipulated by BFEE so even known facts are challenged.
Just went over to the DU, and I want to correct my first statement. The problem with the DU is that they don't have any minds.
***Leftists are far more likely, in my experience, to harbor a deep antisemitism. Kos & DU are totally morally blind and they disastrously failed to recognize and confront antisemitism within its own ranks.****
I have found the following posts most interesting on DU.

Wonder what was said that was so good (or bad) it had to be gone, compared with what was left on!
Even some sub threads were deleted.
"I hope American Jews take note of whose side these leftist idiots are on"
you should live so long! I'd had the same hope after 9-11, but Dem loyalists they are, American Jews went their standard 80-90% for Kerry in '04. THEN the libs complain about the "neo-cons" who are formerly liberal conservatives and a buzz phrase used derisively by the left to describe Jews in particular (i.e., Wolfowitz, Pearle, Krystol). There's just no winning !
Why American Jews vote RAT, I'll never know...
