A bill introduced by the Majority conferences in the Assembly and Senate would give inmates in state prisons a healthy pay raise for work they do behind bars. The proposal triples the minimum wage for prisoners, and naturally, New York taxpayers are expected to pay the bill. New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb, a Republican, is calling on the CEO of CBS to fire David Letterman for crude comments he made about Sarah Palin and her daughter.
