Robert F. Kennedy Jr. officially endorsed Donald Trump for President and joined Trump at a rally in Glendale, where he was given a thunderous and enthusiastic welcome. While many in the MAGA movement were thrilled with the endorsement and his pledge to help President Trump fight the Deep State, some members of his family publically issued a cruel statement criticizing his decision. The statement, signed by Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, Courtney Kennedy, Rory Kennedy, Chris Kennedy, and Kerry Kennedy, read: “We want an America filled with hope and bound together by a shared vision of a brighter future, a future defined...

Maybe more than at any point in her life, even during her 2008 bid for the White House, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s past and associations are coming under intense scrutiny in mainstream press outlets. From her potentially unsecure, private email account to the Clinton Foundation’s suspect fundraising methods, Clinton’s past is apparently anything but unimpeachable. One positive thing you can say for sure about the secretary is that she takes care of her friends. Apparently, former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s (D-NY) wife and longtime Clinton confidant Huma Abedin was especially well cared for. According to a New York Times...

BALTIMORE - One of Maryland's most recognizable yet seldom-seen politicians publicly entered the same-sex marriage debate Tuesday. Former Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend made a rare public appearance to rally Catholics to uphold Maryland's same-sex marriage law at the polls. She urged Catholics, who are a major voting block, to buck church policy. "I learned from the nuns to love one another and that that was the most important commandment," she said, finding a way to reconcile her Catholic faith with her support of the idea. The daughter of civil rights stalwart Robert Kennedy said the law does gel...

Kathleen Kennedy Townsend has done us a wonderful service with her Aug. 15 article in the Atlantic, “Is Rick Perry as Christian as He Thinks He Is?” It’s a masterpiece of liberal misuse of the Bible, which will become more frequent as the campaign heats up. First, only God and Mr. Perry know what Mr. Perry thinks of his own faith. I doubt that either has shared that knowledge with Mrs. Townsend or her editors. Maryland’s Democrat lieutenant governor from 1995 to 2003, Mrs. Townsend starkly makes the case that being Christian means using other people’s tax dollars to help...

( Surprise: ACORN audit to be conducted by panel full of leftists and cronies.) From this profoundly warped announcement (via ABC who engages in daily, early-morning information huddles with the Obama “White House”) from ACORN itself, it’s announced that ACORN is, uhh, going to “investigate” ACORN, with this group of Lefties-at-hire to go onto the media-stage and do the “Let’s Investigate” routine: In a press release, ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis says, that as “a result of the indefensible action of a handful of our employees,” the group will immediately stop accepting anyone into ACORN office for service programs, will conduct...

UPDATED: ACORN, calling the actions of some of its employees "indefensible," has suspended advising new clients as part of its service programs and is setting up an independent review to see what happened.

A day after a closed-door strategy session on regenerating Kathleen Kennedy Townsend's struggling bid for governor, top Maryland Democrats insisted her slide could be reversed in time for a November victory. Democratic officials said Townsend's voter-mobilization plan and advertising efforts are sound - despite nagging concerns about her campaign's management and what is seen as a lack of support from some party leaders such as Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley.

It appears the debate is on. The NAACP says it's moving forward with plans for next Thursday's gubernatorial debate. Jeff Abell: NAACP leaders have spent most of this day meeting with the Townsend and Ehrlich camps trying to hammer out plans for a debate and it appears all systems are go. When the two candidates shared the stage at the last NAACP event, it became a political forum. Rep. Robert Ehrlich / (R) Candidate for Governor: "You deserve a debate!" Now, it appears Republican Ehrlich and Democrat Townsend will get a debate at Morgan State University next week and both...

Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend today defended the actions of the state crime office she heads, an agency under federal investigation for possible misuse of federal anti-crime money. Townsend said her role in the Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention, or GOCCP, was to set policy, not deal with the details of how or where the office distributed millions in federal money.

Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend yesterday hired a veteran spokesman for her gubernatorial campaign, responding to criticism from senior Democrats that her team has failed to effectively attack her likely Republican opponent. The new spokesman, Peter Hamm, is the second political operative to sign up with Townsend in recent days. Last week, Townsend hired Karen White to head the state Democratic Party's coordinated campaign, which works on behalf of the entire Democratic ticket. As campaign manager, White led Townsend and Gov. Parris N. Glendening (D) to victory in 1998.

BUMPER STICKERS and lawn signs don't vote, but they start conversations. Why are there so many more "Ehrlich for Governor" strips? Who's putting out the red and blue one that says, "Democrats work/Republicans whine"? And what about, "You're better qualified than Kathleen"? It's all part of a campaign's early phase, the one where you try to become a household word. You oil up the apparatus so it can get the converts and the base to the polls. Thus do party professionals express high anxiety about Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend's campaign.

<p>WASHINGTON — To friends and foes, Maryland's Democratic lieutenant governor is "KKT."</p>
<p>The first "K" is for Katherine, the "T" is for Townsend and in her run for governor, it's the middle "K" that gets national attention. She's the eldest child of the late Robert F. Kennedy.</p>

KATHLEEN K. Townsend is a Kennedy and there's nothing she can do about that. But she could have skipped that $2,000-a-head Hyannis Port party last month - the $4,000-a-plate one two summers ago, with chocolate mousse boats and white-chocolate sails bearing KKT's initials, was bad enough - and maybe she could chill on the out-of-state fund raising and the cocktail parties at Uncle Teddy's house. If I were advising this woman - and who isn't these days? - I'd tell her to lay off the lobster-and-Chablis fetes because those events come with a pretty high gag factor among the Great...

Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend has enlisted a key architect of Gov. Parris N. Glendening's 1998 re-election victory to help manage her sputtering bid for governor, campaign officials said yesterday. Karen White, Glendening's communications director, will join the Townsend campaign next week. She will share an office with Alan Fleischmann, the campaign chairman who has been the subject of recent criticism as Townsend's once-sizable lead has evaporated.

In a victory for cybersquatters and others who snatch up domain names containing personal monikers, a dispute-resolution board has refused to turn over Web addresses containing the words "Kathleen Kennedy Townsend." Townsend, Maryland's lieutenant governor and a potential candidate for governor this year, discovered that a Baltimore man had registered several Web addresses with her name, including kennedytownsend.org and kathleenkennedytownsend.com. Townsend argued that she has a trademark on her name and asked the World Intellectual Property Organization's Arbitration and Mediation Center--one of the groups charged with settling domain-name disputes--to transfer the addresses to her. However, the owner of the disputed...
