Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend yesterday hired a veteran spokesman for her gubernatorial campaign, responding to criticism from senior Democrats that her team has failed to effectively attack her likely Republican opponent.
The new spokesman, Peter Hamm, is the second political operative to sign up with Townsend in recent days. Last week, Townsend hired Karen White to head the state Democratic Party's coordinated campaign, which works on behalf of the entire Democratic ticket. As campaign manager, White led Townsend and Gov. Parris N. Glendening (D) to victory in 1998.

"I'm creating a war room and surrounding myself with the best, most experienced and brightest lieutenants I can pull together," Fleischmann said. "We've been very good about laying out her vision for governing, but I think where we may have been lacking is laying out her plan in ways that resonate on a campaign. There's a difference between educating people when you're already in the governor's office and doing hand-to-hand combat."
Translation: "I'm creating a War Room to SMEAR Ehrlich."
Watch the mudslinging from KKT start to hurl. I imagine that KKT will try to portray Ehrlich as the worst racist on the planet. BTW, I notice they are using a War Room---Hillary's favorite tactic for running a smear campaign.

I love the ComPost's title. Just a touch of seasoning. :-) Could you imagine if this was an article about Bill Simon reworking his staff?

Senior GOP Officials Fear Move is Too Late
Then again, it's not just the ComPost. There are many here on FR bleating similar messages. It would crack me up if it weren't so darned serious.

Bullpoppy! Maybe she needs to lay out her vision for governing. Boot camp for all citizens, with complimentary beatings from the guards from Kathy. All of the More Equal Pigs will get special grants from her office, while the sheep will have to sit in traffic jams, with high taxes, and rising crime rates. Sounds like a great vision to me :(
Rep. Ehrlich needs to get this airhead in a debate quickly before the DNC comes in and programs her. He should be able to mop the floor with her.
