Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has survived a second non-confidence motion in parliament in as many weeks. The motion, brought by the opposition Conservatives, was aimed at bringing down his minority Liberal government and triggering a federal election. The motion failed after Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre again fell short in his effort to gain the backing of other political parties in parliament. Poilievre tabled this second non-confidence motion the day after his last one failed. This motion accused the government of failing Canadians on affordable housing, the cost of living, and crime - key issues that the Conservatives have been...

NDP leader Jagmeet Singh made the surprise announcement on social media on Wednesday afternoon, accusing Trudeau of “caving” to corporate greed. “The Liberals have let people down. They don’t deserve another chance from Canadians,” he said.

A surge of Mexican nationals seeking asylum has led Canada to bring back visa requirements that were lifted nearly eight years ago. Immigration Minister Marc Miller said on Thursday that more than half of the asylum applications to the country are either abandoned or rejected. Since then, an influx of immigrants has put strain on the government of Quebec and pushed it to a "breaking point".Asylum claims from Mexican nationals to Canada rose from 260 to 23,995 between 2016 and 2023, an increase of more than 9,000%, according to...

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Tuesday that his government is preparing for the “uncertainty” that a hypothetical second term in office for former President Trump would bring to his country and to its alliance with the United States. Trudeau’s Cabinet gathered at a Montreal retreat to discuss the prospect of Trump’s return to office in the 2024 presidential election and to prepare a strategy. Trudeau said Trump “represents uncertainty,” but that his government was able to manage Trump during his first term by demonstrating the mutual economic benefit that a strong U.S.-Canada alliance would bring.

Video of the event, posted by Rebel News chief Ezra Levant, went viral on Monday. It shows Menzies asking Freeland about Canada’s refusal to label Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IGRC) as a terrorist organization — an ordinary question.

A new change to the Canadian Labour Code that went into effect earlier this month stipulates that all federally regulated employers are now required to provide free menstrual products in all employee bathrooms. Regulations posted to Canada's Employment and Social Development website specify that 'menstrual products must be in all toilet rooms, regardless of their marked genders.' 'This means that every female-identified, male-identified and all gender toilet rooms will need to have menstrual products. 'Unrestricted access to menstrual products...

OTTAWA — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau denounced antisemitic and Islamophobic incidents in Canada Wednesday, saying attacks against Jewish people and businesses, do not belong in Canada. “We’re seeing, right now, a rise in antisemitism. That is terrifying. Molotov cocktails thrown at synagogues, horrific threats of violence targeting Jewish businesses, targeting Jewish day cares with hate. This needs to stop, this is not who we are as Canadians.” Trudeau also said attacks are happening against Muslim Canadians, as well. “The rise of Islamophobia we’re seeing across this country and around the world is also unacceptable. The expressions of hate against Muslims,...

Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is again raising his inflow of legal immigrants — which has already spiked Canadians’ housing prices, crashed birthrates, slashed productivity, and trashed public support for migration. Trudeau’s inflow will rise from 465,000 in 2023, up to 485,000 in 2024 and then 500,000 per year after, immigration minister Marc Miller said November 1.

The Russians constantly and wrongly accuse Ukraine of being a Nazi nation. From the start, President Vladimir Putin has tried to justify his brutal war as a battle against Nazism. And here was Zelenskyy, the victim of Canadian blundering, applauding a soldier who fought for the Nazis. Putin could hardly be more delighted... The episode raises so many ugly memories and associations. That’s surely why the Liberals wanted to expunge Rota’s words from the record — a rare parliamentary measure. This is typical of their attitude to history under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. It’s a political commodity to be massaged...

And all of this was before Trudeau’s aircraft broke down, stranding the Canadian delegation in New Delhi until a rescue plane could be dispatched from CFB Trenton... Trudeau had...

'We are certainly working on scenarios,' Joly told a Montreal radio station in French during an interview this week. The son of a Canadian pastor who faces jail time for preaching to truckers who blocked the US-Canada border last year received a standing ovation in EU Parliament as he slammed PM Justin Trudeau for taking 'freedom and democracy' away from citizens. The politically connected Chinese donors who pledged $1-million to the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation and the University of Montreal did not only want to build a statue of the former prime minister. They also sought to erect a statue at the university’s law school of chairman Mao Zedong, the Chinese leader who brought his country under Communist control and, in his decades as the Great Helmsman, oversaw policies that led to huge numbers of deaths from famine and violence. “They suggested one of Trudeau and Mao together,” Geneviève O’Meara, a spokesperson for the University of Montreal, confirmed to The Globe...

After another bombshell report last week suggested Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s 2021 election victory was clandestinely backed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Trudeau blasted not only the alleged undermining of the nation’s elections but Canada’s intelligence agency for allowing the information to be leaked to the press.“It’s certainly a sign that security within CSIS [Canadian Security Intelligence Service] needs to be reviewed. And I’m expecting CSIS to take the issue very seriously,” Trudeau reacted after the latest Globe and Mail reports. In last Friday’s report, the Globe and Mail stated that they’ve viewed “top-secret Canadian Security Intelligence Service documents” that...
