UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The United States asked a U.N. panel on Thursday to remove six people and businesses from a sanctions list for suspected ties to the al Qaeda network following sharp criticism from European nations and Canada about the shoddiness of the U.S. allegations. The list of more than 170 groups and individuals was compiled by the U.N. Security Council's sanctions committee on Afghanistan. Fellow Conservatives, I'm somewhat new to politics, about from right before President Bush was elected. So I don't know a whole lot about political issues from the past. Political theory, yes.
