Leaked govt memo: Shooter may be linked to hate groupBy Liz Goodwin 29 mins ago According to a leaked memo obtained by Fox News, the Department of Homeland Security is looking into the possibility that suspected shooter Jared Loughner was linked to a white supremacist group called American Renaissance, or AmRen. AmRen founder Jared Taylor, however, tells Fox he'd never heard of Loughner and that according to his group's records, Loughner never received AmRen publications. His group's events are all held on the East Coast, he said, far from Loughner's hometown of Tucson. According to the memo, Loughner "is possibly...

Siding with Twitter, an appellate court has halted white nationalist Jared Taylor's lawsuit alleging he was wrongly banned from the service. In a decision issued Friday, California's First Appellate District said the Communications Decency Act protects Twitter from liability for decisions about what content to allow on the service. The appellate court stayed Taylor's lawsuit and sent the matter back to Judge Harold Kahn in San Francisco with instructions to either dismiss Taylor's complaint, or to defend a decision allowing the case to proceed. But the appellate judges made clear that they believe the case should be dismissed outright, writing...

Twitter is asking an appellate court to immediately review a trial judge's decision allowing white nationalist Jared Taylor to proceed with a lawsuit alleging that he was wrongly banned from the microblogging service. "Twitter’s decisions on what or whose content to distribute are quintessential editorial judgments protected by the First Amendment," the company writes in legal papers filed this week in California's First Appellate District. "A private-sector communications platform cannot be compelled to disseminate a message it finds objectionable solely because its decision to exclude the message would deprive another of a private platform from which to speak." The company...

SAN FRANCISCO — A prominent white nationalist is suing Twitter for banning his account as the social network cracks down on content it deems abusive. Jared Taylor filed the lawsuit Tuesday in San Francisco. Taylor joins a growing list of right-wing groups and figures who have recently sued social media sites for banning accounts and content. Social media sites are grappling with how to prevent abusive posts without appearing to censor unpopular opinions.

Anti-fascist activists had a difficult time pushing back against James O’Keefe’s investigative reporting during a planned press conference Thursday. They got kicked out of a food court, but not before showing pornography to a reporter. The DC Antifascist Coalition had booked a room at the National Press Club to hold a press conference in which they would unveil damaging information about O’Keefe and his group Project Veritas. In the lead-up to President Donald Trump’s inauguration, Project Veritas released videos which resulted in the arrest of a member of DisruptJ20 and foiled a plot to use stink bombs at an inauguration...

Some registered voters in Iowa received robocalls Saturday from a white nationalist super PAC that urged them to support Donald Trump in the 2016 election. "I urge you to vote for Donald Trump because he is the one candidate who points out that we should accept immigrants who are good for America," Jared Taylor said on the robocall, paid for by the American National Super PAC. "We don't need Muslims. We need smart, well-educated white people who will assimilate to our culture. Vote Trump." Taylor is the founder of the white supremacist magazine American Renaissance. The robocall included two more...

ARLINGTON — A University of Texas at Arlington professor who has advocated for illegal immigrants took on a conservative commentator on Friday who argued that immigration of a large number of Hispanics, especially from Mexico, is bad for America. Professor Jose Angel Gutierrez, founder of UT-Arlington’s Center for Mexican-American Studies, and Jared Taylor, editor of American Renaissance, a conservative publication that advocates for Anglos squared off in a campus debate sponsored by the College Republicans. About 375 people who arrived to watch the debate waited to be scanned by police with metal-detecting wands. University spokesman Bob Wright said the extra...

I posted Robert Locke’s report last October indicating that the once seriously anti-Semitic British National Party has been in the process of reforming itself, and I quoted at length a column by BNP chairman Nick Griffin last December in which he criticized anti-Semitism at length. However, I also heard that Griffin socialized with David Duke and other Nazi types at the end of the recent American Renaissance conference. Some people tried to excuse this by saying, “How can he reform these people unless he talks with them?” The excuse didn’t work with me; were we really to believe that Griffin...
