An old episode of The Simpsons that portrayed Jane Goodall in a poor light has reemerged online after her tragic death at 91. The episode, from Season 12, showed a character resembling Goodall being accused of exploiting chimpanzees. The storyline quickly escalated into a parody that depicted her as greedy and unstable. "How could you exploit your beloved chimps like this?" Lisa, who once predicted the 2024 election, asks in the episode. Bart chimes in, "I think we should look at her research before we condemn her entirely." Lisa adds,"These are just pictures of monkeys from famous movies. This is...

R.I.P. Dr. Jane GoodallIt’s been reported that legendary primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall has passed away at the age of 91. And while Goodall will no doubt be remembered for her ground-breaking research, we would also like to point out that she was also impressively chill about being parodied in popular cartoons. We’ve already mentioned how Goodall befriended The Far Side’s Gary Larson, and it turns out that she was also an early fan of The Simpsons — and not just the episode that featured Stop the Planet of the Apes, I Want to Get Off! starring Troy McClure. In the...

Confession in all three branches of the Christian Church includes both sins of commission and omission. Acts violating God’s commands are confessed as sins of commission. Sins of omission are committed by failing to perform an action one ought to do. Whether one belongs to the Roman Catholic Church, the Eastern or Greek Orthodox Church, or any Protestant Church, both sins are confessed corporately and individually. As such, any and all wrongdoing is covered in most liturgical confessions. Judaism also recognizes sins of commission and omission. The above represents a sound, healthy, and just system of acknowledging, dealing with, and...

There is a clear consensus among the global elite that overpopulation is the primary cause of the most important problems that our world is facing today. Many of them are completely convinced that humans are literally a “plague” upon the Earth and that extreme measures are required to prevent us from destroying the entire planet. To the elite, everything from global warming to our growing economic problems can be directly traced back to a lack of population control. They warn that if nothing is done about our exploding population, humanity will be facing a future full of poverty, war and...

The Koch brothers might be part of buying Time magazine, and a former Time science editor is so panicked he wrote an article for the leftist magazine The Nation titled "Don't Let the Koch Brothers Buy Time Magazine." Charles Alexander wrote about how his life’s work of screaming environmental bias may be about to go down the drain: Can you imagine what it would be like to see your life’s work suddenly go down the drain? I can—right now. As a former Time editor who spent 13 years editing the magazine’s coverage of environmental issues, I am in despair over...

Famed anthropologist Jane Goodall is blaming humans’ abuse of Mother Nature for the global coronavirus crisis. “It is our disregard for nature and our disrespect of the animals we should share the planet with that has caused this pandemic, that was predicted long ago,” the 86-year-old animal expert told Agence France-Presse (AFP). The British scientist, best known for her lifelong study of chimpanzees, argued that destroying habitats has forced animals into closer proximity, spreading diseases — and ultimately infecting humans. She said the deadly crisis also highlights the dangers of “meat markets for wild animals in Asia, especially China, and...

Gov. Jerry Brown on Sunday scuttled a bill that would have pre-empted federal conservation efforts by going after African species trophies. Brown, a Democrat, vetoed SB 1487, which would have prohibited the possession of various parts or products of a wide range of animals including the African elephant and black rhinoceros by any individual or association in California. The bill passed the state Senate 27-11 and the Assembly 55-20 with a thin measure of bipartisan support in August. Writing in his veto message to lawmakers, Brown said that, “Even though I share the sentiments of the author, this bill, if...

Jane Goodall Book Held Back After Accusations of Plagiarism Alison Flood 25 March 2013 Leading primatologist Jane Goodall's forthcoming book has been postponed after she was found to have lifted some passages from websites including Wikipedia. An expert asked by the Washington Post to review Goodall's Seeds of Hope, which was due out next month, spotted that some passages in the book echoed various other sources. The paper published a report last week which claimed that at least 12 sections in the book were lifted from other websites, and which included an admission from Goodall of her failure correctly to...

We thought the day would never come when a Republican political leader and an animal-rights extremist would weigh in on the same subject, and we'd agree with the extremist. But that day arrived recently with comments by chimpanzee researcher Jane Goodall and Gov. M. Jodi Rell, who hold contrasting positions on biofuels. In a speech last week, Ms. Goodall complained the biofuels boom is destroying the world's rain forests. "We're cutting down forests now to grow sugar cane and palm oil for biofuels, and our forests are being hacked into by so many interests that it makes them more and...

Dear friend, On September 21st of every year, the International Peace Day, people around the globe express their desire for a world where war and violence are things of the past and we live in harmony with the natural world. On Sunday's, I usually record Fox News Sunday and then the NBC stuff starting @ 1030 till 1230 - Meet The Press, and so on. At 1000, the Chris Matthews program comes on and I sometimes watch this but more often than not, it is just background noise to me. My wife was watching and said that near the end of the program, Matthew's showed the clip where Jane Goodall does her monkey call at the State Department. Matthew's then finishes off by saying that she was trying to send a message to Colin Powell. Did anyone catch this? If...
