The International Solidarity Movement knowingly and willfully endangered Rachel Corrie's life Deceased peace activist Rachel Corrie deserves justice, but her parents Craig and Cindy are looking for it in the wrong place: an Israeli courtroom. They are also calling as witnesses members of the organization whose recklessness (or worse) caused their daughter's death. The indicated link defines reckless endangerment as, a crime consisting of acts that create a substantial risk of serious physical injury to another person. The accused person isn't required to intend the resulting or potential harm, but must have acted in a way that showed a disregard...

International Solidarity Movement's highest priority was to take pictures of her death WANTED: Young, attractive, idealistic female college student to star in a movie about Zionazi oppression of the downtrodden Palestinian people. Acting skills are not particularly important because "if some of these foreign volunteers get shot or even killed, then the international media will sit up and take notice" (George Rishmawi, International Solidarity Movement leader). We cannot prove that the International Solidarity Movement actually recruited Rachel Corrie with the intention of making her the star in a snuff film but, when the opportunity to do so arose, the ISM...

Jerusalem (CNN) -- A 23-year-old American activist stands in front of an Israeli bulldozer in Gaza. The bulldozer drives over her, crushing her to death. These are the facts. Rachel Corrie, along with colleagues from the International Solidarity Movement, was trying to prevent Israel from bulldozing homes in Rafah, close to the Egyptian border. Her activism cost her her life in March 2003. A colleague said at the time, "Many times the bulldozer came up to us and buried us with dirt, but they always stopped." Corrie's parents want to know the truth about their daughter's death, whether the killing...

As Catholics, it comes as no surprise to us that the human brain is hard-wired for religion. We believe in a God who created us in His image so that we would come to know and love Him. But for Enlightenment thinkers, who had committed themselves to the "liberation" of human thought from the shackles of religious dogma, the news would not have been welcome at all. If political society, as Hobbes wrote, abhors a vacuum, the same is true of religious belief. One cannot destroy without creating something else in its place. The new society or...

Manufacturing sector expands; pending home sales up more than expectedNEW YORK - The U.S. manufacturing sector grew in August for the first time in 19 months, adding to evidence that the recession is ending. The better-than-expected reading Tuesday by the Institute for Supply Management showed the highest number for its manufacturing index since June 2007. New customer orders jumped to a level not seen since late 2004. And in another sign of an improving economy, a gauge of future U.S. home sales rose more than expected in July to the highest point in more than two years.

Hate speeach at SFSU - [the Arab Muslim fascism of 'Free Palestine'] Hate Speech At San Francisco State University February 24, 2009 ...SFSU...the General Union of Palestinian Students, have continually been at the center of a succession of riots, protests, and anti-Israel, anti-American hate-fests and counter-protests at which radical speakers regularly, and with unbridled invective, denounce and demonize Jews, Zionists, Israel, Republicans, and America. Most notorious, for example, was the Muslim student-sponsored, pro-Palestinian April 2002 demonstration that included odious flyers and posters depicting a dead Palestinian baby on a soup-can label imprinted with the words "Palestinian Children Meat, slaughtered according...

U.S. manufacturing's descent was a little less steep in January, a key survey reported Monday, while consumers saved rather than spent amid the worst recession in a quarter century. The Institute for Supply Management's factory activity index rose to 35.6 last month, up from a 28-year low of 32.9 in December. But it's the 12th straight month below the break-even 50 level."The readings went from bad to worse to horrible to horrendous, and January's improvement means we're back to horrible," said Wachovia analyst Mark Vitner. The new orders index jumped 11.1 points from December's record-low 23.1. But the ISM's jobs index...

Now it's official -- sort of. The United States is in decline. The National Intelligence Council has warned in its latest report that the United States will decline as an economic and political world power over the next 20 years. The NIC (NASDAQ:EGOV) report is the first major U.S. government document on national strategy to appear since the Wall Street financial crisis began in September. But it does far more than simply note the crisis' existence. It warns that the ensuing economic crisis now sweeping the entire world is just the first part of a far vaster process -- a...

THE FAKE "PEACE" - PRO 'PALESTINIAN' MOVEMENT, AN INTERGARL PART OF ENABLERS OF GENOCIDE PEACE, the real peace and even the term 'peace' - another casualty of the Arab Muslim Palestinian WAR!The Islamo Arabs know all too well how soft a typical Jewish heart is, by playing on the 'Jewish guilt' how "poor" their conditions are [despite of the real cause being themselves and its self destructive cult of hatred and Jihad, allocating all resources for anti-Israel propaganda rather than advancing in life, rejecting any change in its education of 'death cult'], they have been successful in gathering many Jews to...

Pentagon Makes Fighting Extremism Top Priority Seven years after the Sept. 11 attacks, the Pentagon on Thursday officially named "the long war" against global extremism as its top priority and pledged to avert any conventional military threat from China or Russia through dialogue. The Defense Department, in a new national defense strategy, also emphasized the need to subordinate military operations to "soft power" initiatives to undermine Islamist militancy by promoting economic, political and social development in vulnerable corners of the world. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said he hoped the change would help establish permanent institutional support for counterinsurgency skills...

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Malaysia has arrested 13 suspected members of an Islamic militant group with links to Zacarias Moussaoui, the Frenchman on trial for the September 11 attacks on the United States, Bernama news agency said on Friday. The suspects, belonging to a wing of a group the authorities call Kumpulan Militan Malaysia (KMM), had connections with Moussaoui when he was in Malaysia between September 4 and 15 and again on October 5 in 2000, the state-run news agency quoted Inspector-General of Police Norian Mai as saying. "They were arrested because they are believed to be carrying out activities ...

...an article has appeared on the ISM affiliated website Electronic Intifada (EI) by one of its co-founders, Ali Abunimah, in which Abumimah recounts his close past working relationship with Obama prior to the presidential campaign and how Abunimah believes Obama is merely giving lip service to the Jewish community to get elected, and that once in office he will work for the Palestinian cause. Abunimah lists himself and is mentioned in subsequent Obama articles in the mainstream press merely as a “Palestinian activist.” Abunimah insists that Obama will “come around” once elected. But Ali Abunimah is more than just some...

BETHLEHEM, West Bank (AFP) - Israeli guards beat five demonstrators, including one dressed as Father Christmas, during a protest on Friday against Israel's separation barrier in the West Bank, organisers said. About 50 Palestinian, Israeli and international peace activists attended the rally in the village of Um Salomona, near Bethlehem, the Biblical birthplace of Jesus that is preparing to celebrate Christmas. Israeli border guards armed with truncheons briefly detained one activist and beat another five during the rally, the organisers told AFP, adding that one was wearing a Santa Claus costume. An Israeli army spokesman said there had been disorder...
