Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday vowed to stay in the presidential race for the “long haul” despite a poor showing in the final Iowa poll before Monday’s caucuses. “We’ve got a huge number of people that have committed to caucus, and we expect that these are the people that turn out,” DeSantis told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union” before a slate of events in Iowa. “We’re in this for the long haul. We understand that you got to win a majority of the delegates. We understand that that there’s a long process here, but we’re going...

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, who challenged former President Donald Trump for the 2024 GOP nomination until late last year, announced a surprise endorsement of his former competitor on Sunday, the eve of the Iowa caucuses. Burgum, who opted against being critical of the former president during his own 2024 bid, made the announcement at Trump’s Sunday afternoon rally in Indianola, located in suburban Des Moines, while on stage with his wife Kathryn. “Today, I’m here to do something that none of the other presidential primary candidates have done, and that’s endorse Donald J. Trump for the president of the...

Donald Trump told young protesters who infiltrated his campaign stop in Indianola, Iowa on Sunday to 'go home to mommy' and to 'grow up' after experiencing his first outburst at a rally in years. A group of environmental protesters interrupted Trump's rally in Indianola, Iowa on Sunday, holding up banners accusing the former president of being a 'climate criminal.' The demonstrators were littered throughout the crowd, and were escorted out of a student union building where Trump was holding a final rally before Iowa's caucuses on Monday. Not only those backing Trump were inspired to come out in the -18-degree...

Republican presidential hopeful Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of The Union” that his voters were “very motivated.” Therefore, he will do well in Monday’s Iowa Caucuses, he said. Anchor Jake Tapper said, “So the final Des Moines Register poll, considered the gold standard, shows you in third place, trailing Nikki Haley, more than 30 points behind Donald Trump. Your campaign is focused so much attention and millions of dollars into Iowa. You’ve visited 99 counties and spent most of your time as a candidate there. Last month, you said you were going to win in Iowa....

The Governor bet heavily on Iowa. It doesn't appear to be paying off. Ron DeSantis is heading into the Iowa caucuses in third place. In the final Des Moines Register poll ahead of Monday’s vote, the Florida Governor has 16%. That puts him behind Nikki Haley (20%), and way behind Donald Trump (48%). This poll, conducted Jan. 7-12 of 705 likely Republican caucusgoers, is the latest survey of the race to suggest that without some miracle, Trump will emerge the winner Monday evening. And it raises existential questions about the path forward for the Florida Governor, who is drawing just...

Vivek Ramaswamy has been one of the more interesting candidates in the 2024 Republican primary. Once a staunch critic of January 6th and a supporter of COVID-19 surveillance apps, the businessman reinvented himself as a conservative firebrand. More importantly for his popularity, he has run a campaign that has gone out of its way to be supportive of Donald Trump. Because of that, Ramaswamy has earned the praise of much of the former president's influencer network, including those connected to organizations like TPUSA and CPAC. He's often been cited as the premier example of how to run against Trump (as...

The video begins with DeSantis running into the hotel store in an attempt to avoid Loomer. DeSantis then stands in the store, does not purchase anything, and eventually leaves, reluctantly walking into Loomer’s questioning. ” I confronted DeSantis as he was walking into his hotel, and he hid from me inside the hotel convenience store and used his staffers, including @Kelly_Kundinger, to physically block my body. His staff also shoved me and tugged on my clothing so that DeSantis could get away from me and run into an elevator. But, I didn’t back down!!!!!”

CRESCO, Iowa — When the surge of conservative populism started sweeping the Republican Party in the fall of 2015, Howard County Republican Party Chairman Neil Shaffer remained firmly behind Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) when he went to caucus in January 2016. Shaffer eventually warmed to Donald Trump and went on to vote for him in November of that year. It was a vote that made him part of a coalition that turned Howard County, which lies here in northern Iowa on the border with Minnesota and not that far from the Wisconsin state line, Republican for the first time since...

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has used a 'burner' account on X to secretly post and re-post anti-Donald Trump content on the social media app ahead of her state's first-in-the-nation caucus, according to a report. Reynolds, who endorsed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in the Republican primary, is not the first anti-Trump heavy hitter to get caught with a burner, after Mitt Romney's infamous 'Pierre Delecto' account was unearthed in 2019. But, the Reynolds revelation came just four days before voters will begin to caucus for both candidates, as well as former South Carolina Governor and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley. 'The contrast...

In her January 9th speech Gov. Reynolds also called for more assistance for new mothers. “As we continue to fight for the law in the courts, I want to thank you for putting Iowa firmly on the side of life. “By passing the heartbeat bill, we affirmed an essential truth: every Iowan counts. “To continue building a robust culture of life, we must also do everything in our power to ensure new moms and their families—especially those who are struggling—have what they need to make ends meet. “Today, Medicaid only covers postpartum care for two months after birth. Only five days have passed since a 17-year-old shot up his school in Perry, Iowa, killing one and injuring five. Yet anyone looking for updates about the tragedy would be hard-pressed to find it on the front pages of any corporate outlet, unusual given the media’s typical amplification of such tragedies. The press is known for lengthy coverage glamorizing killers, inspiring copycat acts, and using shootings to push gun control. When covering tragedies that contradict leftist claims, however, Democrats and their cronies in the corrupt media quickly go radio silent. The Perry shooting is one such case. Once the Iowa killer was...
