A former Mercy General Hospital nursing employee who molested sedated male patients during pre-surgery preparation was sentenced Friday to 14 years in state prison. Devery Wilkerson, 41, was convicted by a Sacramento County Superior Court jury of sexually assaulting eight men - ranging from age 30 to 80. Wilkerson was assigned to shave the legs, chest and pubic areas of patients before surgery. One patient awoke to find Wilkerson performing oral sex and reported it to the nursing staff.
