But House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi got chuckles Thursday when she started a news conference by donning dark glasses, a teasingly sympathetic gesture to the man standing next to her, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid. 'I brought my glasses to be like Harry, but he switched on me,' Pelosi said, removing her shades.

Senate Minority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) will undergo another round of surgery  Wednesday to repair his eye following exercise-related injuries, his office said late Monday.The procedure is a follow-up surgery on his right eye and will be conducted at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, according to a statement from Reid’s office.“This is a necessary step to assist in recovering full vision in his right eye,” the statement said. “His recovery will require him to miss the rest of the week but he is not expected to miss any more time in the office beyond that.”
