A large study of parents of children who identify as transgender has uncovered worryingly large numbers who complain of 'pressure' to transition their children, even though they felt it was not in the child's best interests. The survey of 1,655 parents, published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior, found that more than half of the parents who were referred to gender therapists said they felt directed to put their kids on medical treatments or change their wardrobe.
