A large study of parents of children who identify as transgender has uncovered worryingly large numbers who complain of 'pressure' to transition their children, even though they felt it was not in the child's best interests.
The survey of 1,655 parents, published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior, found that more than half of the parents who were referred to gender therapists said they felt directed to put their kids on medical treatments or change their wardrobe.
The paper, by Northwestern University psychology professor Michael Bailey, comes amid concerns over rising numbers of young people identifying as trans and non-binary, and as Republicans push for bans on trans medical treatments for minors.
It also follows the damning testimony of a former employee of a Missouri youth gender clinic, where doctors allegedly told parents that they could either have a transgender child — or one that would commit suicide.

I read the story of parents who did just the above and now her daughter is happy her parents stopped her from harming herself irreversibly.
These are very weak parents.
I can’t imagine any parent succumbing to pressure over something like this. Sounds like an excuse they are using to deflect blame. Of course many idiot parents jumped at the chance to give an experimental vaxx to their kids despite the mortality for kids being close to zero so I guess anything is possible.
We already know the schtick:
“Your child will commit suicide if he/she doesn’t get the affirming care they need. It’s science.”
That is the only valid explanation. Well, another is that their children aren’t as important to them as their acceptance by their misbegotten peers.
Instead of treating the problem, all these institutions do is tell parents to cater to the insanity.
Well, when you feed and water the beast you shouldn’t be surprised that it gets bigger and harder to handle.
What sort of mental illness must these PARENTS have that they could be pressured to do such a thing?
Imagine pressuring my grandmother (PBUH) into transitioning my mother or my uncle? It is inconceivable.
Germans sacked their transgender “research institute” and burned its books and notes in the street. Americans take their kid in there, hear some insane story, and are like “Duh, well, Ok I guess”
Pathetic.
It was the go-to arguement that was used against me when I argued against forcing children to harm themselves.

I just went looking for an article I remember on suicde rates for people who had “transitioned.” There are now some articles stating that a “successful transition” reduced the urge to commit suicide. So, the answer is either fifty percent of transitioned people attempt or commit suicide or, successfully transitioned people are fifty percent less likely to commit suicide. Ordinarily, I might condense a few articles to present the data, but the whole subject just leaves me cold.
Practically everyone I’ve known who got a tattoo early in life has expressed some regret. But cutting off body parts?! Oh, yeah, I can only imagine the regret for that. Also, I read a statement from a doctor who said, “What people don’t realize is if they block puberty, transition or not, those people will NEVER have an orgasm.” Somehow, in a super-sexualized society, I’ve never seen that statement anywhere else.
This is probably my last ever post on this subject as it makes me nauseous.

Bit Pharma and the AMA are behind this. This will be a trillion dollar enterprise. The surgeries are just part of it, but the lifetime of medications, what a windfall for big Pharma!! Just think, soon they will take ovaries out of cadavers and implant them in men, and wow, anti-rejection drugs, years of doctor visits and other medications, surgeries on hops and pelvises so they can pass a child, it could be millions for each individual. Maybe they will find a way to take the vaginas off the cadavers! Maybe they will grom females in labs for parts for the trans kids. And the government (tax payers) will pay for it all!!Democrats and their Big Pharma political donations.
You have to pretty weak minded to be convinced to destroy your children. To weak minded to have them in the first place.
I hate these BS ARTICLES. The parents were ‘strongarmed’ - they had options if they didn’t do as expected. They could have simply WALKED OUT of those clinics and let the state provide ‘more understanding’ parents for those children.
At some point, we need to stop posting the claims of Right Wing Extremists, as the parents ALWAYS had choices.

It is more perfectly stated this way. “Do you want a live daughter or a dead son”. The mental health people teamed up with a teacher separate parents from child, pressure them into decisions, and offer them that choice. The wrong answer can result in you not having any say in the matter, and you get the bills for it al.
Can’t we put all these “gender affirming care” health care providers in one place and let Putin nuke them?
Those that subject their children to such cruelty must be inherently weak people. So I suspect the odds of “being pressured” are high.
I harbor a deep and abiding mistrust of these soft science types.
This leads to infertile humans who can never have an orgasm. The females end up with the skin being stripped from their arms, and the males with a permanent wound that needs a “wedge” to keep the wound as a semblance of a supposed “trangina”.
