ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A man accused of fatally pushing his girlfriend and their son into the Mississippi River while she held the boy has been convicted of second degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. The St. Louis jury opted against a first-degree murder conviction for 27-year-old Gebar Byrd in the 2009 deaths of Yasmin Rodriguez and the nearly 2-year-old boy. The boy's body still hasn't been found.
