The witch hunts never end. The New York Attorney General's office will be joining the Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr's years-long criminal investigation of the Trump Organization. A spokesperson for Attorney General Letitia James told CNN on Thursday, "We have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation into the organization is no longer purely civil in nature. We are now actively investigating the Trump Organization in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA. We have no additional comment."

The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear a challenge to a Mississippi law that bans nearly all abortions after the 15th week of pregnancy. It will be the first abortion case to be argued before the Supreme Court since Justice Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed, potentially providing a pathway to challenging Roe v. Wade and allowing outright bans on abortion. The court will consider the heart of Roe by hearing arguments on whether all bans on abortion prior to the point of fetal viability are unconstitutional.

A top prosecutor on ex-Special Counsel Robert Mueller's phony Russia investigation into Donald Trump is weighing in on a new scheme to go after the 45th president. During an interview on MSNBC, Andrew Weissman responded to reports from last week that said Palm Beach is making contingency plans to arrest Trump if he is indicted by Manhattan New York District Attorney Cy Vance. Arizona’s Senate has backed off from its threat to subpoena Maricopa County officials, instead asking them to voluntarily appear at a meeting next week to answer questions about “serious issues” that have been uncovered by a 2020 election audit. Arizona Senate President Karen Fann, a Republican, asked Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jack Sellers, also a Republican, on Wednesday to cooperate with the Senate to resolve the issues, including the county’s noncompliance with earlier subpoenas.
