The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear a challenge to a Mississippi law that bans nearly all abortions after the 15th week of pregnancy.

It will be the first abortion case to be argued before the Supreme Court since Justice Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed, potentially providing a pathway to challenging Roe v. Wade and allowing outright bans on abortion.

The court will consider the heart of Roe by hearing arguments on whether all bans on abortion prior to the point of fetal viability are unconstitutional.

Finally, some good news for a change. Here’s hoping legalized infanticide is overturned.

No sale. Handing conservatives a very minor win on restricting some abortions in some states does not suddenly absolve them of their craven traitorous cowardice in refusing to hear Texas.

Another distraction from a huuge ongoing issue.

Sad to say, but the court will no doubt support after birth murders. They will claim no child can force a mother to care for it.

I’m not optimistic.

I would like the Court to be under a requirement to quote specific language from the Constitution and declare: “There! Right there! This sentence (or paragraph) fully justifies our decision!” And then break down that language, define the terms, and explicitly say why the Constitution says what they say it says.

No more of this “penumbra” and “right to privacy” and “killing kids is OK” BS.
