On this episode of The Resistance Library, Sam and Dave discuss the history and significance of the Betsy Ross flag. Second only to Old Glory itself, the Betsy Ross Flag is the American icon. Its clean design is similar to our current flag, with 13 stripes and only 13 stars in a circle (representing the equal status of what were then the 13 united individual sovereign nations). This simplicity is perhaps the reason for its popularity among American Patriots and Constitutionalists, as it hearkens back to an earlier time when America was still a place of freedom and resistance to...

This simplicity is perhaps the reason for its popularity among American Patriots and Constitutionalists, as it hearkens back to an earlier time when America was still a place of freedom and resistance to tyranny. But while this flag is the oldest attested flag for the American nation, many people don’t know its history....

A business owner in Salem, Oregon, painted a mural honoring the American flag and the Marines who raised it at Iwo Jima. Most observers considered it a beautiful memorial and an attractive use of an otherwise nondescript wall. The owner of the business commissioned a local artist to create the tasteful and fetching display of patriotism. The Salem City Council has ordered him to remove it, or face fines of up to $200 per day. The artist, Mario De Leon, raised the alarm in a Facebook post: "What’s up everybody. The city of Salem is forcing @valleyroofingoregon to remove the...

KENOSHA, WI—CNN Joined with progressive groups in calling for Judge Bruce Schroeder—who is presiding over the Rittenhouse case—to be removed after an American flag was spotted in his courtroom. "It's clear that this judge cannot be impartial," said CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin, who was wearing a large trenchcoat and nothing else for some unknown reason. "The American flag is a symbol of oppression and white supremacy. Any judge who would allow that hateful symbol in his courtroom has no business presiding over this important case." Further reports indicated that the Judge is a white male, has a family, and...

Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) said on this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” that spreading the lie that the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol was a false flag operation is “un-American.” Anchor Chris Wallace said, “We’ve always argued about policy. What strikes me as was different now but not just now but in recent years is that we argue over facts. We argue over the truth. Congresswoman Cheney, there is talk now that January 6 was a false flag operation. It was a case of liberals in the deep state setting up conservatives and Trump supporters. Is there...

Like many flags championed by the Patriot, Constitutionalist and Second Amendment movements, the Bennington Flag is older than the Constitution itself. As the “76” in the canton probably gives away, the flag dates back to the revolutionary period, from the Battle of Bennington in 1777. The battle didn’t actually take place in Bennington, Vermont, but rather about 10 miles away in what is now Upstate New York. In some ways, the flag is easy to ignore. It looks much like the more iconic Betsy Ross Flag, but there are several crucial differences. First, there is the “76” in the canton....
