Amy Donofrio was reassigned after she hanged a Black Lives Matter flag over her class doorway.
Donofrio sued, claiming the school district retaliated against her and violated her free speech.
The school district settled for $300,000 while insisting "we haven't done anything wrong."
A Jacksonville, Florida school district settled a lawsuit with a high school teacher who claimed the district retaliated against her when she refused to remove a Black Lives Matter flag from her classroom doorway.....
"Teaching is not just my career, it's my life, my heart," Donofrio said told USA Today in early August when the case was settled. "Being unable to return to my classroom this fall devastates me beyond what I can fully articulate."

There is more to this story because there is no chance the school district would have lost in court had it proceeded if that is all that happened.
